A. Christianity is nothing but charity. (Read items #17, #19, #31, #36 and #42 below, and item #1 under Home menu, and others #2 and #3 under Daily Devotion menu also)
This is the most important and amazing theology. The word 'charity' is found 28 times and the word 'love' 84 times in the New Testament KJV Bible for the same Greek word agape. Only KJV used the word 'charity' in 1Cor 13:13 rarely while most modern, corrupt translations used ordinary word, love. The reason is because KJV is the best and the most accurate translation among all English and other language Bibles. See items #1 and #7 under Exegesis menu and #6 under Daily Devotion menu
The subject on love or charity was discussed several times throughout this blog website such as item #1 under home menu, item numbers 17 and 19 below, and items #2 and #3 under Daily devotion menu.
Jesus said in Mt 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets, after he answered Pharisees and Sadducees that loving our GOD the Father dearly and our neighbors as ourselves were the first and second most important commandments respectively. This Jesus' statement is really astounding beyond anybody's imagination. See also Rom 13:10; 1Ti 1:5; Gal 5:14; Jam 2:8. Apostle Paul described how charity exceeds all virtue and wonders in so called love chapter 1Cor 13 and concludes his discourse in 1Cor 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Also GOD told Israelites to love their neighbours as themselves (Lev 19:18).
The fact that loving our GOD the Father dearly and our neighbours as ourselves will make us fulfill all the Mosaic laws and prophets speaks by itself very clearly and emphatically that there is no other theology or commandment more important than it. I called apostle John Mr. love in the second line in item #1 under Home menu. He wrote, 1Jon 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Amen
Here is the sum in regard to charity. A sinful man born with a devil spirit (#13 under Exegesis menu) becomes born again after receiving Christ as personal saviour or Holy Ghost enters into his heart (Joh 3:3) and drives off the devil spirit. (It is unthinkable for a man to possess both Holy Ghost and devil spirit together.)
Then he can not but love GOD the Father (and Son Christ) and his neighbour naturally and becomes a god and a son of GOD the Father. He is added to Trinity (GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost) which is one body (1Joh 5:7, 8) to become another one body what is called Four Part Theology. Read #1 and #2 below.
Basically Holy Ghost is the underlying driving force and common denominator that empowers GOD the Father and Son Christ, transforms a sinner, and unites all four of them in unity as one body, inseparable. See #3 under Holy Spirit menu and #7 under Daily Devotion menu. Once truly born again or saved, nobody can lose his salvation. See #5 below.
Oh heavenly Father, I thank thee for sending thy only begotten Son Jesus Christ to redeem us once for all. I can feel thy matchless charity toward me and thy creation so that I want to show it to others by obeying thy commandments. I pray in the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.
B. Fear GOD, and keep his commandments Ec 12:13 This is repeat of item #47 below. See item #11 under Holy Spirit menu.
The wisest thing anybody to do on earth regardless of time and space is to fear the LORD and do HIS commandments, that is, we love HIM “with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind,” and then we “love our neighbor as ourselves” (Mat 37-40). Then the most foolish thing anybody to do is the opposite exactly, that is, we do not fear HIM and disobey them. See article A above and item #1 under Home menu.
Psa 128:1 A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
Ec 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Men have the second life after death while other living creatures do not. If a man saves his soul by accepting Jesus Christ as his saviour while living the first life on earth, he will live everlasting happy life in heaven after death; otherwise, he shall be sent to the lake of fire which is the second death (Rev 20:14, 15). Watch the 30’ video called ‘Saving your soul’ under Evangelism.
Now we born again believers with salvation shall live the first happy life on earth for sure. King Solomon after living the most luxurious life and the wisest man on earth writing 3,000 proverbs (1Ki 4:32) concluded his preaching on human life with one verse as quoted above. He also wrote, Pro 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Job summarized his discourse in Job 28:28, And unto man he (GOD) said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
There are numerous references in the OT about fearing GOD for wisdom, and it is very clear that one must fear HIM and keep HIS commandments in order to be wise and live happy first life on earth after saving his own soul by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross and then consequently securing a ticket to go to heaven for the second, everlasting happy life after death. What can anyone ask for more than these two things? Amen
C. We know that we are saved and born again if we love our neighbor. 1Joh 3:13, 14
There are several articles about love or charity on this website (See cross references on item A above). Here we will consider love (charity) from a different perspective even though we are talking about the same idea or concept as others basically. Read two verses below and then annotations on them.
1Jo 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
1Jo 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
13. if the world hate you: Jesus said that if the world hate us (Christians), it hated HIM first before it hated us (Joh 7:7, 15:18). In other words, it hates us because of HIM or we are followers of HIM.
14. because we love the brethren: that is, we are born again and sons and daughters of our heavenly Father.
Christian brothers and sisters in the church love all people regardless. In other words, we believers in Christ love virtually everybody maybe except our enemies who hate and persecute us but Jesus taught us to love our enemies too (Mat 5:44).
Then we show Christian love (charity) to everybody regardless. Christ died on the cross for both good and bad people, and this requires us to love both of them as well.
This loving our enemies idea or commandment from Christ is NT commandment never mentioned in the OT. Jesus said that the first commandment of GOD the Father for us was to love HIM very much and the second one was to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mat 22:36-40)
He that loveth not his brother…death: This is the same idea of the first half of this verse, that is, when we love our neighbor, we have everlasting life.
If we are born again and saved by the blood of Christ, then we love Trinity (GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost). Also we love our brother (neighbor) automatically.
So nobody can say he loves GOD the Father in heaven but hates his brother on earth (4:20, 21) in order that one is born again first to love HIM first and then to love his brother (neighbor) automatically.
So when one loves his neighbor, he knows that he has everlasting life, that is, he is born again. Loving my neighbor is not a natural tendency, that is, we do not love our neighbor naturally since we are sinners by birth (Rom 5:12), that is, we are born with devil spirit from our mother’s womb.
Not loving our neighbor is the same as hating them simply because we either love or hate them; there is no third or neutral position or option.
Likewise we either love or hate GOD the Father in heaven. If we do not love HIM, we hate HIM basically. There is no neutral or third option as far as loving relationship is concerned. Nobody can say that he is just ignorant of GOD or his neighbor altoghter; he is the same as one who denies or hates them.
D. GOD knew for sure before HE created heaven, earth, and Adam and Eve that men would fail and unable to be right with HIM without mediator Jesus Christ. Eph 1:4, 5
Our heavenly Father is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent without beginning or ending, that is, HE is eternal past, present, and eternal future. Read two verses and annotations below. Notice the phrase 'chosen us in him' underlined in verse 4.
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will:
4. According as he (GOD) hath chosen us in [through] him (Christ) before the foundation…before him (GOD) in love:
Christ was present only in concept and his physical presence was not evident until virgin birth by Mary.
GOD envisioned before the world began that Christ will be born to be an intermediary between GOD and men; Christ is GOD, equal to GOD, and a perfect representative of GOD for men (Joh 1:1-3; 1Joh 5:7, 8).
In other words, GOD must have known or predicted with certainty before creation that future men will fail and unable to be right with HIM without savior’s help, who is Jesus Christ.
5. Having predestined us unto the adoption of children: GOD so loved the world...HE gave HIS only begotten son....(Joh 3:16).
GOD chose anybody who loves HIM to be HIS son through HIS only begotten Son Christ (Rom 8:29, 30). In other words GOD adopted us into HIS sons and daughters by Jesus Christ.
...by Jesus Christ to HIMSELF (GOD the Father), according to...HIS (GOD'S) will,
Men can not approach to GOD without Christ or vice versa (Joh 6:44, 14:6).
E. Only GOD with Holy Ghost (Joh 4:24) was present somewhere (only HE knows where) since eternal past even before the creation of heaven and earth of Genesis 1:1. Eph 4:6 See item #6 below.
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
6. One GOD: referring to Jehovah. Even though Christ the Son and Holy Ghost are equal to HIM based on Trinity theology (1Joh 5:7, 8), we only worship Jehovah; we don't worship the other two in Trinity.
Above all, and…you all: GOD with Holy Ghost was present somewhere (only HE knows where) since eternal past, who is present now and will be present eternal future. Nothing was made without HIM.
HE is above Satan and controls Satanic (evil) spirits completely (1Sam 10:6, 10, 11:6, 16:13-16) so that no evil force can challenge HIM. HE is above every good and evil in heaven and earth
It is not clear whether angels and other heavenly hosts were present before creation of heaven (first and second heaven) and earth of Gen 1:1. In other words it is not clear when HE created third heaven and heavenly hosts (2Cor 12:1-5) before HE created heaven and earth.
HE with Holy Ghost (Joh 4:24) was present since eternal past even before the creation of heaven and earth of Genesis 1:1 and all others in heaven, earth, or anywere are created by HIM. In other words, only HE with Holy Ghost was present since eternal past.
1.Trinity
See related topic in the item #29 under Exegesis menu.
Gospel John and the first epistle John (1Joh 5:7, 8) are the two best references for Trinity which say that GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost are one (1Joh 5:7), that is, there is only one GOD but it is comprised of three different entities or elements. Jesus said that HE and GOD are one (Joh 10:30). GOD is the original owner of Holy Ghost and HE gave HIM to Jesus and all born again believers. GOD is said to be a spirit (Joh 4:24), that is, HE is equal to Holy Spirit or HE is filled with HIM originally.
Heb 1:3 Who [Christ] being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Basically this one verse is saying that there is no difference between Christ the Son and GOD the Father except unique appearance (otherwise they are twin, which is impossible) and functionality (role playing).
THEY are equal or the same in quality, attributes, capability, and etc (Joh 10:30) but GOD the Father is the Father and Christ is the Son just like earthly father and son or husband and wife relationships (Eph 5:22-33). So Father is above the Son in rank or role playing and gives orders to Christ the son and Son performs them and worships Father, never the other way (Joh 14:28). When Christ was incarnated through virgin birth in Mary’s womb, HE received ALL attributes of HIS Father in order that Christ is eternal past, present, and eternal future, just like HIS Father EXACTLY, that is, Son Christ has no beginning and ending just like Father (Joh 1:1-3). Read item number six below. Read item number six below.
Holy Ghost is the empowering agent to empower both of THEM so to speak for diverse miracles. Holy Ghost is GOD also. Then we have perfect union as Trinity as one GOD in three different elements so to speak. Holy Ghost was involved with creation (Gen 1:26) or rather HE empowered GOD for it. Christ was acting like Holy Spirit when HE appeared before HIS disciples suddenly in a locked room (Joh 20:19). Holy Spirit was said to relocate Philip to a remote place in a split second so to speak (Act 8:39, 40).
One might ask, how or when did Holy Ghost begin? Who made HIM to begin with? HE came from GOD the Father, that is, HE and GOD the Father were and are ONE originally since eternal past (Joh 4:24). Go to item number 12 under Holy Spirit to read about the personality of the Holy Ghost, sermon by Charles H. Spurgeon. GOD the Father was the very original owner of HIM so that THEY were the very first or the original GOD, just TWO of THEM and nothing or nobody else since eternal past so to speak. In other words there was no earth, heaven, Satan, angel, or what have you before GOD the Father with Holy Ghost since eternal past!
GOD is the original owner of not only Holy Ghost but also evil (Satanic) spirit (1Sam 6:14, 15). Satan and his following evil angels were former angels created by GOD the Father. They were expelled from heaven after they revolted against HIM (Rev 12:7-11). Satan and other evil angels who have been tempting and tormenting men on earth since their expulsion from heaven (GOD knows when?) are under GOD’S hand or control totally. HE can give or take away either spirit to or from anybody including yes, angels in heaven. Of course HE would not take away Holy Ghost from born again believers on earth or good angels in heaven and replace HIM with evil spirit(s).
In other words no evil force on earth and in heaven can overcome HIM! Allelujah! Praaaaaise the LORD! Read item 3 under the Holy Spirit menu or item 7 under the Daily Devotion menu.
One very crucial verse Joh 1:3 says, All things were made by him (Christ the Son); and without him (Christ the Son) was not any thing made that was made.
Let us look at another verse to prove Trinity, Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself. The word ‘life’ in this verse can be understood as Holy Ghost.
Here the English word ‘life’ which is the simple and plain translation of the Greek word (G2222) for it can be construed as or replaced with Holy Ghost, that is, HE is life just like GOD the Father and Son Christ are life. Christ can give Holy Ghost to whomever HE wants to (20:22).
Jesus Christ identified HIMSELF as life, light, resurrection, good shepherd, the way, the truth, the Son of GOD, Christ and etc (8:12, 10:10, 11, 11:25, 14:6, 20:31). Christ is one of Trinity (1Joh 5:7, 8), that is, HE and GOD the Father are one (10:30) and HE is the same as Holy Ghost.
Then one can see that Holy Ghost is equal with all those attributes listed above for Christ since THEY and GOD the Father are the same as one body (1Joh 5:7). Then one can say that both Father and Son can give life or Holy Spirit to whomever they want to. Giving life is the same as giving Holy Ghost basically. HE is the empowering agent in Trinity.
It is not clear if angels and other heavenly hosts were created by GOD the Father and therefore were present in heaven even before HE created heaven and earth (Gen 1:1). In other words, did HE create all other inanimate things or live creatures including angels in third heaven (2Cor 12:1-5) before HE created heaven and earth in Gen 1:1? After Son Christ was added to GOD the Father with Holy Ghost, we now have Trinity (1Joh 5:7, 8). Lo and behold we also have what I call Four Part Theology after born again believers are added to Trinity. See item number two just below.
Trinity is somewhat a difficult theology to comprehend for unbelievers who are occupied with earthly wisdom or mindset only without any trace of spiritual and heavenly understanding or concept at all whatsoever. They are born with devil spirit, grown up and influenced by Satanic spirit all their life, that is, they are very far from spiritual realm or kingdom so to speak. Once one is filled with Holy Ghost and becomes a born again believer, then he will understand better. Read item number ten below.
2. Quartet (Four Part) Theology All born again believers (saved people) are gods. John 10:30, 14:13, 17:11, 20-23
We born again believers are gods simply because we have Holy Ghost, that is, we are equal to Holy Ghost. In other words we are born again after we received HIM in our heart or HE entered into it (Joh 3:3). Then it is very easy to see that we are added to Trinity to form deity in four parts, hence it is called Quartet or Four Part Theology.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Joh 17:11 ¶ And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
Joh 17:20 ¶ Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
This puts tremendous responsibilities or accountabilities on us to be right with Trinity in all aspects of our lives on earth, that is, we must act and think like GOD and to avoid anything in word and in deed contrary to our deity character. Jesus called us HIS friends (Joh 15:15).
Even though we have Holy Ghost and are gods in essence according to the scripture above, we can not do miracles and still fall and commit sins. First Holy Ghost knows about whom to empower miracle performing and second HE knows our infirmities that we are not like Trinity in reality and therefore prone to Satan's temptation since we are living on earth which is under Satan's bad influence. This should motivate us to grow in faith and to strive toward perfection like Trinity no matter how it seems difficult to achieve.
Let us look at Joh 14:13 in connection with Quartet Theology,
Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Now it should be OK to pray to GOD in the name of Holy Ghost in terms of theological reasoning or logic even though Bible does not mention about it or anybody hardly ever does like it.
We are born again (saved) after receiving Holy Ghost (Joh 3:3) so that we can use HIS name to pray to GOD the Father. In other words we can approach HIM through either Son Christ or Holy Ghost since all three of THEM are GOD’S and ONE (1Joh 5:7, 8).
Then it is not wrong to say that anybody can pray to GOD in the name of another born again believer. This is a very radical proposition that nobody talked or thought about.
Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Isa 41:23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
3. Arminianism
Jacobus Arminius (1560-1609) was a dutch protestant theologian and his teaching had a coniserable influence on Methodist Church which was found by John Wesley in 18th-century movement in England and he sought to reform the Church of England back then.
Arminianism is a free-will of each man to be saved or lost eternally in a nut shell in contrasted to so called Calvinism by John Calvin, a protestant reformer in 16th century, who said that GOD preselected or knew who will accept gospel message or who will not and be condemned eternally since HE is all knowing.
It is both actually depending on a different circumstance, that is, it is free-will for salvation but it is pre-selection as far as HIS Providence is concerned. HE chose Abraham and his descendants to be HIS chosen people and HE called Israelites HIS inheritance (Deu 4:20). HE chose Saul, David, many prophets, and etc during the Old Testament period, and HE chose Mary, Jesus chose or rather recruited HIS 12 disciples, and more importantly HE chose apostle Paul when he was on his way to Damascus (Act 9:1-6) during New Testament period.
Our immediate concern is whether it is free will of each individual to open up his heart to receive Jesus Christ as his personal saviour after hearing the gospel message or whatever circumstance. Definitely it is free will and Arminianism was correct; otherwise, this evangelism effort by us shall be uncertain and useless. Please read more articles under the evangelism menu.
4. Post tribulation rapture
Before I discuss about post-tribulation rapture, I'd like to clarify one very common misunderstanding among evangelicals in regard to so called tribulation period in connection with eschatology. It is not 7-year tribulation period but rather it is just half of it, 42 months or 3 and half years (Dan 9:27, 12:7; Rev 11:2, 12:6, 13:5).
In Mat 24:15, Jesus refers to Dan 9:27 in which angel Gabriel (Dan 9:21) told Daniel about the 70th week and false christ revealing himself to the world in the middle the week (7-year period) instead of the beginning of the last week (7-year period) at which time he shall confirm the covenant with many people. Here the word ‘covenant’ is a positive or good covenant like a peace treaty as opposed to a negative or evil treaty. Then it can not be 7-year tribulation period.
More importantly Jesus mentions “great tribulation” in Mat 24:21 after describing real tribulation environment throughout the world in Mat 24:16-20. So it becomes very obvious that it is 3 and half years (42 months) tribulation period.
In Daniel chapter 12, an archangel Michael who is a good angel unlike Satan told Daniel about sleeping saints in the grave waking up or arising from it during so called rapture (Dan 12:2; 1Th 4:13-18), and then mentioned 3 and half years (Dan 12:7) in connection with the rapture.
When Daniel asked for further explanation about 3 and half years (Dan 12:8), Michael answered him two more periods, 1290 days (Dan 12:11) and 1335 days (Dan 12:12). Three and half years amount to 1260 days, so 1290 days are 1260 plus 30, and 1335 days are 1290 days plus 45 days. These two additional periods are quite enigmatic and I could not figure them out just like Daniel could not understand 1260 days back then but we know nowadays what they represent, that is, second half tribulation period of Daniel's 70th week (7-year period).
Most Baptist people believe in pre-tribulation rapture typically as opposed to post-tribulation. By pre-trib rapture they do not mean that it will happen right before what they believe 7-year tribulation period necessarily but it can happen some days, months, or even years before it. This is vague and nonsense.
After the post-trib rapture at HIS second coming, saints will come back to earth to live and to judge people in HIS 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) during which Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit (Rev 20:1-3), that is, HIS everlasting kingdom will be paradise on earth basically without Satan’s temptation! Alleluia, Praise the LORD! See also 1Th 3:13; 2Th 1:10; Jude 1:14 in regard to saints who caught up to heaven during rapture (1Th 4:13-18) will meet Christ in the air and come back to earth with HIM to live 1,000-year Christ kingdom on earth.
Also angels were said to descend from heaven with HIM (Mat 25:31; 2Th 1:7; Rev 19:14). Both groups of people who are raised from the grave and who are alive at the time of the rapture were said to be with the Lord forever (1Th 4:17). Christ was said to come to earth riding on a white horse (Rev 19:11) and ‘armies’ (angels) will follow HIM (Rev 19:14).
This is a big problem for pre-trib people, that is, will saints after pre-trib rapture enter into heaven temporarily and then come down to earth later at HIS second coming or rather just stay in heaven forever and never come back to earth, and miss the paradise? HIS kingdom is for all saints (born again people) since creation; it is GOD’S reward or gift for them basically. Bible does not mention who else will be living in it specifically and then what are new heaven, earth, and Jerusalem are for (Rev 21:1, 2).
The souls of born again (saved) people are sleeping in the grave so to speak after death instead of their souls going to heaven right away as most people in the evangelical community assume. See more information on the theology topic number nine below on sleeping in the grave. The best reference on rapture in the scripture is found in 1Th 4:13-18.
First of all, it is 3 and half years of post tribulation rapture and Jesus said that HE would raise a saint (saved man) up from the grave at the last day four times in emphasis (Joh 6:39, 40, 44, 54) and Israelites believed in resurrection at the last day also in general (Joh 11:24).
Second of all, right after 1Th 4:13-18 at the end of chapter 4, Paul starts chapter 5 with the word 'But' signifying continuation of his discourse of rapture. He starts talking about the timing of rapture in 5:1 immediately and mentions the phrase 'the day of the Lord' in verse 2. Now this phrase 'the day of the Lord' is referring to Christ's second coming specifically. See exegesis on 2Th 2:2, item #7 under Evangelism menu.
Thirdly, apostle Paul when talking about rapture in 1Cor chapter 15 mentioned “afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming” (1Cor 15:23). See also 1Th 2:19; 1Joh 2:28.
Fourthly, in Col 3:4, “When Christ... shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.” See also Tit 2:13; 1Joh 2:28, 3:2; 1Ti 6:14; 2Ti 4:8; Heb 9:28; 1Pe 5:4.
Fifthly in the second letter, 2Th 2:1-3, Paul responded to the commotion and rumor among Thessalonian church people that either the rapture would happen soon or it had happened already based on the first letter (1Th 4:13-18, 5:2). Maybe they neglected their daily businesses and duties, did, and/or planned to do unusual things in preparation of soon coming rapture because of this rumor or misinformation.
He told them that it would not happen until a major and arrant apostasy or heresy (falling away) would happen first and then that man of sin (the son of perdition, false christ) would come out. In other words once he will reveal himself to the public in the middle of 70th week of Daniel (Dan 9:27), then 3 and half years of tribulation period will follow. Afterwards HIS second coming along with rapture will take a place concurrently.
Verse one (2Th 2:1) says two events, HIS second coming (by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ) and rapture (our gathering together unto him), as if they will happen consequentially and he used the phrase 'the day of Christ' in verse two (2Th 2:2) which signifies HIS second coming. See exegesis on 2Th 2:2, item #7 under Evangelism menu.
Now compare the phrase 'gathering together unto him' in verse one (2Th 2:1) with another phrase 'gather together' in Mat 24:31. See Joh 12:32.
Another very convincing evidence comes from so called Olivet discourse in Matthew chapter 24 in which Jesus mentioned about “abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel” (Mat 24:15; Dan 9:27) in the midst of the week (42 months, Rev 13:5; Dan 9:27) followed by tribulation (Mat 24:16-21). Afterwards Christ's second coming (24:29, 30) shall take a place concurrently with rapture which is alluded in 24:31, 40, 41.
There shall be shouting voice of the arc-angel and trumpet sound when HE will descend riding in cloud (Act 1:9-11) during HIS second coming and rapture (Mat 24:31; 1Cor 15:52; 1Th 4:16). See Rev 19:11-19
Also notice the phrases “against that day,” “in that day,” and “at that day” in 2Tim 1:12, 18, and 4:8 respectively. Paul talked about rapture at a specific day (the last day) at Jesus’ second coming rather than any random day before the 3 and half tribulation period. These remind of the phrase, “at the last day” in Joh 6:39, 40, 44, 54, 11:24 as mentioned above.
Now all those saints from both NT and OT period since creation will receive spiritual body (1Cor 15:44, 49-54) upon rapture, will meet HIM in the air, and will come back to earth with HIM (Zec 14:5). Then they will reign and live with HIM during 1,000-year Christ kingdom on earth (1Th 4:17; Rev 20:4).
What shall follow after the millennium kingdom? What are the new heaven, new earth, and new Jerusalem are for (Rev 21:1, 2)? Is so called paradise going to be in the new earth instead of the third heaven (2Cor 12:1-6) where our Father, Son Christ, Holy Ghost, and other heavenly hosts are present?
5. Our salvation is sealed forever Joh 6:37, 39, 10:28, 29, 17:12, 18:9 ; 2Cor 1:21, 22; Eph 1:13, 4:30; 2Tim 2:19; 2Joh 1:8; Rev 3:11, 12
Can a man lose his salvation if he was saved by the blood of Jesus Christ genuinely, received Holy Ghost and became born again, and tasted the real meaning of salvation? The answer is resoundingly NO. The best reference is found in Heb 6:1-6. In it the key verse is verse 6, which says, "crucify to themselves the Son of GOD afresh."
It is unthinkable to use the blood of Christ more than once to get saved afresh after losing one's salvation for whatever reason, which was one time deal per each sinner. If we lose it, then it would weaken the power of blood on the cross and put Christ to an open shame as mentioned in verse 6 above. See verse 6 below.
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. Compare Heb 10:26.
Modern, corrupt Bibles omitted the word ‘if’ in verse six above and this made their users misinterpret Heb 6:1-6 that these verses are not talking about believers (saved) but rather about unbelievers or it is possible for a saved person to lose his salvation.
Heb 6:4-6 are one complete sentence. Reading these three verses from a corrupt Bible, one might understand or interpret that it is impossible to bring back a fallen away believer back to “repentance” or salvation, that is, he is doomed to eternal hell without hope once he is fallen away or loses his salvation. Then some people who understand that salvation can not be lost once truly saved from other references in the scripture (Joh 10:27–29; Rom 8:35, 38–39; Php 1:6; 1Pe 1:4–5) assume that these three Hebrew verses are talking about unbelievers. See item number one under Exegesis menu.
Check this verse out, Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
This verse is connected with Joh 3:3 that one must receive Holy Ghost to enter into kingdom of GOD. So all born again believers replaced devil spirit born with naturally (Rom 5:12-21) with Holy Ghost. Men are sinners by birth simply because we inherited Adam’s sin (Rom 5:12) and are born with devil spirit. Most people remain as sinners with devil spirit throughout their life and die on earth as sinners, and then their souls are sent to hell immediately (Luk 16:23) without sleeping in the grave like saved people who became saved (born again) people during their life time by receiving Christ as their saviour and Holy Ghost to be born again at the same time.
Now if I can lose my salvation, that means I lost my Holy Ghost and then devil spirit entered into my heart again; nobody can possess two spirits together. This is non-sense. Rom 8:9 above says that anyone without Holy Ghost does not belong to Christ in order that it is impossible for a born again believer to lose Holy Ghost and then to receive devil spirit which he replaced with Holy Ghost at the moment of spiritual rebirth (Joh 3:3) before and then to go back to the state or condition of a lost sinner spiritually. Everybody must possess either Holy Ghost or devil spirit in his heart any moment or time. Either spirit defines or dictates who he is spiritually all the time.
Yes a born again believer is still being tempted and can falter here and there but he will come back and repent of his sin(s). He will restore his personal son-Father relationship with heavenly Father soon or later and be washed of his sins. HE will not remember his past sins completely as if nothing happened (Heb 8:12, 10:17). Oh my GOD Alleluia! Thannnnk you!!! We praise and glorify thee lifting our both hands high and looking up toward heaven! Thank you Father for sending us thy only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to redeem us from eternal damnation in the lake of fire (Joh 3:16).
It is one thing to believe in the power and sufficiency of blood of Christ on the cross for born again believers but it is another thing to deny, twist, or modify them for many cults; they teach their innocent, lost followers that they need to add their works to be saved completely. How sad? Read KJV Bible, be informed, and learn from it correctly. Do not believe in wrong teaching. Get the hell out of it ASAP.
6. No beginning and ending for GOD See item E above.
God is timeless, that is, eternal past, present, and eternal future. Definitely this is mind boggling to finite men. We can not understand or imagine it. How come no beginning and no ending? Would this make us fear HIM more as Bible said that fearing HIM was the beginning of wisdom (Psa 111:10)?
The beginning in Gen 1:1 was what we know heaven and earth at the present time but GOD the Father Jehovah was present eternal past in the third heaven (2Cor 12:2) or wherever—only HE knows. HE was beginning of beginning so to speak, that is, HE and Holy Ghost (Joh 4:24) were present eternal past before Gen 1:1, and all others were created by HIM including Satan, angels, Christ (Joh 1:1, 3:16). HE was said to create evil (Isa 45:7). Then HE controls both good and evil completely; nobody or no spirit can challenge HIM. The final destiny of Satan, false christ, and flase prophet is lake of fire (Rev 19:20, 20:10).
The reason why we see evil force from Satan and his evil angelic spirits (Rev 12:7-12) on earth is that HE wants to test men’s faith. Nobody can prove himself without going through testing so that a man must prove his faith in HIM by passing HIS test successfully to become one of HIS true, faithful children.
Basically GOD the Father Jehovah with Holy Ghost was present eternal past and will be so eternal future. HE created heaven and earth, and everything in them as recorded in Gen 1:1 about 6,000 years ago. Revelation chapters 20 through 22 describe 1,000-year Christ kingdom (and this will make total 7,000 year earth history) and then new heaven and new earth afterwards. It is not clear where born again believers will live eternally after death either in the new earth or in the so called Paradise in the third heaven (2Cor 12:4); only GOD knows about it. This is the essence of where and how humanity started and how it will end up with in the future.
As a matter of fact the end time of what we know of heaven and earth nowadays will come pretty soon. The earth history is 7,000 years total and we are very roughly 2,000 AD now, it was about 4,000 years BC since creation, and there will be 1,000 year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) after HIS second coming in the future whenever it might be (Rev 19:11-16). Now everybody can see we are close to that 6,000 year mark since creation. GOD is very punctual and HE is not slack even in the smallest amount of time men can count. Read item number 21 above.
Although HE is timeless, yet HE can count time from the beginning to the end for a certain period. We should remember HIS three attributes such as omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Only HE was said to know the exact time of Christ's second coming (Mar 13:32; Act 1:7). Men's counting of time since creation was approximate obviously and this is the reason why we do not see Christ's second coming after 2,000 AD. In other words, nobody can know how many years, months, and days it had been since creation to figure out when HIS second coming will be. The key is to understand about so called 70th week of Daniel who in Dan 9:26, 27 talked about it. We just watch out and be prepared no matter where we are and what we do, and to see how the earthly events develop. In the mean time we focus on our earthly life duties and keep spreading gospel messages to save lost souls.
7. Men's pride
Pride is the root of all evil. See article number 51 below.
Pride is the number one reason that separates between men and GOD, that is, proud men would and can not be saved (Psa 10:4; Pro 16:18). Bible has many verses denouncing men's pride and GOD'S wrath against anybody or any nation follows as a result (1Joh 2:16; Oba 1:3; Hos 7:10, and etc). Basically HE loves humble men and we must submit to HIS will totally (Jas 4:10). Most proud people are not aware of their problem. Satan (devil) was a former angel in heaven, was very proud, and wanted to be like god consequently. Then there was war in heaven and he and other proud angels were expelled out of heaven down to earth. They are tempting and tormenting men on earth since GOD only knows when (Rev 12:7-12).
The prime example for a proud man in the Old Testament is king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonian kingdom that conquered Judah once for all. GOD used him to punish people of Judah for her idolatry and rebellion and gave him many victories over other Gentile nations as reward for his service perhaps. This led him to become very proud and GOD condemned him very highly by showing him a bad dream and sent Daniel to interpret it for him that he would be reduced to be like a beast of the field (Dan 4:5, 22-25). He was called Lucifer (Isa 14:4, 12) which people misinterpret to be a nickname for Satan. However the Hebrew word for Lucifer in the scripture simply means the morning star and it was used with derogatory and sarcastic connotation (Isa 14:9-11).
Not only does one's pride separate men from GOD but it also ruins his life on earth and we have seen many examples about it throughout men's history on earth. We must be humble all the time and it does not seem to be easy to bring down a man's pride for the benefit of himself and of people around him.
8. All for HIS Glory See item #38 under Exegesis menu.
It is not wrong to say that GOD created heaven and earth in the beginning in order that HE could be praised and glorified by HIS creation. This is quite evident to any Bible student with broad Bible knowledge, that is, Bible may not state it literally in a single or few verses. In other words he comes to this conclusion after studying it extensively.
HE loves to be glorified very, very much. HE controlled Pharaoh's mind to keep refusing Israelites to leave Egypt one plague after another in order that HE could send more plagues to Egyptians. This way HE could be revered and glorified not only by them but also by whole world more and more (Exo 3:20, 4:21, 11:9, 15:11, 21; 1Ch 29:13, and etc). Jesus waited for Lazarus' death eventually so that HE could raise him up later for HIS own glory as well as HIS Father's glory (Joh 11:1-4, 15). In other words HE did not come to the house to heal sick Lazarus but rather allowed him to die from sickness (Joh 11:39, 40).
If men do not encounter all sorts of calamities at all but have good time all the time instead on earth, then they would forget GOD and never fear HIM, not to mention glorifying HIM. The words 'praise and glorify' are more or less the same and the second part of book of Psalm is filled with praising HIM. The last chapter 150 has the word 'praise' in all six verses. When we worship HIM, we are praising or glorifying HIM basically, particularly during hymn singing.
UISC church shall sing a dozen old hymns per service, and this will be really unprecedented since no evangelical church ever done it in the past or will ever sing those many old hymns in the future per any service, Sunday morning or evening service, Wed evening service, or any worship service day or gathering whatsoever.
Believers should keep praising HIM out of their mouth as needed at home, work, or anywhere all the time. This is their duty and GOD will love it so much! We praise HIM, oh Father. Glorify thy name in heaven and on earth. We bet that thou art being glorified by heavenly host without ceasing (Rev 4:8-11).
9. Sleeping in the grave
Baptist people get offended easily when they hear that the souls of believers do not go to heaven immediately to be with the LORD after death. If our souls go to heaven right after death, then the rapture (1Th 4:13-18) becomes meaningless since we are already in heaven with HIM, doesn't it? Sleeping souls in the grave receive spiritual body upon rapture (1Cor 15:35, 44, 51-54) to meet the Lord in the air. Bible is very clear about sleeping in the grave, for example, Jesus called dead Lazarus sleeping (Joh 11:11). The archangel Michael mentioned about it also in Dan 12:2. See also Isa 26:19. See post-tribulation rapture theology above, item #4.
Mt 22:23 ¶ The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, Mt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Here Jesus says that earthly relationships will not continue in heaven but everybody will be like an angel. Notice "For in the resurrection" in verse 30 above. First of all HE affirmed that there shall be rapture (resurrection) and also HE was implying that we meet our loved ones in heaven after resurrection (rapture), wasn't HE? Our loved ones are sleeping or rather 'resting' in the grave currently waiting for it. See the paragraph right before the last one in item number 12 below in regard to secrecy of GOD and continuation of earthly relationship in heaven.
Now doubtful people refer to the two thieves being crucified and Christ between them, where Jesus told one of them that he would be with HIM "to day" in paradise (Luke 23:43). Definitely HE did not mean it literally and we should interpret it with caution in context as we ought to elsewhere in the Bible. For example when Jesus prayed to GOD the Father, "And now come I to thee...." (Joh 17:31), HE did not mean that HE would meet HIM in heaven right then literally but HE meant that HE would see HIM face to face and sit at the right hand of HIM (Mar 16:19; Heb 12:2; Psa 110:1) after HE would be resurrected on the third day and be ascended to heaven after 40 days (Act 1:3, 9).
Certainly there seems to be exception to this sleeping in the grave idea or theology because Abraham, Samuel, and maybe others who were martyred now and back then (Rev 6:9-11) are in heaven already. In other words GOD would bring some dead souls to heaven right away after death but most believers' souls sleep in the grave typically. Again rapture is meaningless if dead souls go to heaven right away.
Paul talked about spiritual body as opposed to earthly body that dead sous receive spiritual body during rapture (1Cor 15:35) to meet Jesus Christ [with excitement] in the air and to be with HIM forever (1Th 4:17).
How about those sinners who die without salvation? Would their souls be sleeping in the grave also until the time for the white throne of judgment comes (Rev 20:11-15)? No they would not. See item number 11 below.
The scripture mentions hell many times in the NT (for example, Mat 5:29, 30; Luk 16:23) and lake of fire (Rev 20:14, 15) which are reserved for the lost souls (sinners) after death. In Rev 20:13, 14, it sounds like they are two different places. See item number 23 below.
The rich man in one of the parables Jesus spoke was said to be being tormented in hell (Luk 16:22, 23). This particular parable was literal unlike other figurative and illustrative parables since two real names (Lazarus the beggar and the Israelite patriarch Abraham) were mentioned in it.
Then lost souls after they die without salvation shall not be sleeping in the grave like saved (born again) souls do but they shall be sent to hell right away to be tormented. This makes a perfect sense; GOD would not give them restful sleep in the grave. They deserve severe suffering in hell from the moment they die without delay until they will stand before the white throne judgment seat of Jesus Christ after the 1,000-year Christ kingdom will be ended. Supposedly the place called lake of fire is worse than hell. Oh my GOD! They suffer in hell 1,000 years or more, and then stand before it to determine if they will be sent to the lake of fire forever! (Rev 20:11-15). See item number 3 under the Holy Spirit menu and number 7 under the Daily Devotion menu.
Oh heavenly Father, THOU lovest both saved and lost souls equally and would not want lost souls to go to hell after death definitely but THOU gavest lost souls more than sufficient time to repent. They made a free will choice to ignore many chances to turn around. We believers would keep spreading gospel until we die. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
10. Automatic Holy Ghost
Question, is the experience of being saved by the blood of Jesus Christ separate, independent incidence from receiving Holy Ghost? The answer is NO. They are concurrent events taking a place simultaneously. When a man is saved by Christ or receives Holy Ghost, HE should receive the other TWO in Trinity automatically because Trinity can not be separated (1Joh 5:7). Then it is pathetic to see truly born again believers (Joh 3:3) unaware of the undeniable fact that they have received Holy Ghost when they were saved long time ago or whenever. Very sad. They should find a new church which teaches Biblical truth methodically because they might be in a spiritually dead church.
All three of Trinity such as Son Christ, Holy Ghost, and GOD the Father are involved when a man is saved by accepting either Jesus Christ or Holy Ghost, that is, nobody can come to the Father except through Son Christ or Holy Ghost, or nobody can receive either of THEM unless GOD draws him to either of THEM (Joh 14:6, 6:44). One can think about one of the roles of Holy Ghost in Trinity is to empower the other TWO; HE also helps all born again believers. HE knows how to impart miracle performing capabilities properly and obviously so that we can not perform miracles even though we own the exact, same Holy Ghost in Trinity.
11. The names of unsaved souls who died without salvation might be found in the book of life at the white throne of judgment.
In post tribulation rapture above and sleeping in the grave (#4 and #9), we talked about born again believers. Now here we talk about the souls of unbelievers who will not be sleeping in the grave after death but rather they shall be sent to hell immediately in order that they shall be tormented over there until they will stand before the white throne of judgment which will happen after the 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4). Read item 9 above. One can come up with a new, very daring theology from this portion of scripture (Rev 20:11-15). Keep reading.
So this familiar phrase 'the white throne judgment' is not for believers but for unbelievers since believers went through rapture already (1Th 4:13-18) before the 1,000 kingdom.
Re 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Re 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Re 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
These verses sound like the souls of unsaved were sent from hell, where they were tormented for 1,000 or more years after death, to lake of fire if their names are not found in the book of life! Hell and lake of fire are two different places for sinners. See item number 23 below.
Check out Isa 26:19 where Isaiah alludes rapture for the saved and earth just casting out the dead for the unsaved.
They were said to be "judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works" (Rev 20:12). Here we find two kind of books, a book of life and the books in plural. Apparently those books kept the record of deeds of unbelievers while they were living on earth and they shall be judged based on them.
Now here is the amazing and very important theology. Tighten your seat belt! It is verse 15 above, which sounds like that there might be some people whose names will be found in the book of life, that is, some of them will be admitted to heaven if their names are found in the book of life. Here again we are talking about unsaved, lost people who died and whose souls were sent to hell immediately to be tormented there for 1,000 years or more. See item number 23 below. The souls of the saved shall be sleeping in the grave until the rapture (resurrection) for believers (1Th 4:13-18). See item number 9 above.
The question is would unbelievers be admitted to heaven if their names are found in the book of life? How would the names of unsaved people can be found in the book of life? Is our Father in heaven so gracious that HE would admit unsaved people to heaven and to avoid second death in the lake of fire (Rev 20:14) IF their names are found in the book of life (v 15) at the white throne of judgment (Rev 20:11)? The answer is resounding YES. Alleluia! Otherwise there is no need to open it during the white throne of judgement, is it?
However they will be suffering in hell for 1,000 years or more after their first, common death on earth before they will stand before the white throne of judgment seat whereas saved people will be sleeping in the grave after death on earth and will get out of grave so called rapture at Christ’s second coming to be with HIM forever (1Th 4:13:18). See item number 23 for further discussion.
12. The Secrecy of GOD
Bible says about new heaven, new earth, and new Jerusalem (Rev 21:1, 2) but does not mention about who is going to live on the new earth, and the book of Revelation ends after one more chapter describing another heavenly vision. It is anybody's guess as to what shall follow after the 1,000 Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4). Is paradise going to be on the new earth as Jehovah's Witness people believe or in heaven? In other words, where will saints (born again believers) live their eternal life, on new earth or in heaven? What is the purpose of new earth, heaven, and Jerusalem? Supposedly they will come after the 1,000-year Christ kingdom, Satan is cast into the lake of fire for eternal damnation, and later the white throne judgment; all these are described in Revelation chapter 20. See item number 6 under Home menu.
It is not clear who is going to live during the 1,000 Christ kingdom beside those martyred saints who will be executed supposedly during the 3 and half years of the tribulation period (Rev 20:4). By the way, many people misunderstand it as 7-year tribulation period. What is the longevity of people living during it going to be? Are unsaved people who survived the 3 and half years of tribulation period going to live in it? What kind of life is it going to be?
Those raptured saints at HIS second coming shortly after the 3 and half years of tribulation period were said to be with HIM forever (1Th 4:17). See item number 4 above regarding post tribulation rapture.
There are more questions one can bring up. However we thank GOD and respect HIS privacy, and we do not need to know everything about and for HIM. How could finite men dare to understand everything about infinite GOD and HIS Providence? Men just need to suffice with what is written in the Holy Bible which has a lot more information and knowledge than men can imagine and digest.
Praise the LORD! Alleluia. The bottom line is this that we live good life on earth and look forward to meet HIM in person whenever and wherever it might be. Only HE knows.
The Sadducees who did not believe in the resurrection, that is, they did not believe in the second life either in heaven or hell after death, asked Jesus about what will happen to earthly relationships like father, mother, husband, wife, brothers, and etc among resurrected people in heaven, who died after being saved (or in hell or lake of fire for the lost people likewise). Jesus answered them very clearly that they would not continue in heaven but everybody will be just like angels (Mat 22:23-30). This is a very precious fact that nobody can tell or know outside Bible. See the second and third paragraphs in item number 9 above in regard to sleeping in the grave.
What language will be used in heaven or hell? Is there going to be another creation for another world, that is, third life in the very, very distant future, some time in the infinite future? Only infinite GOD has the answer, doesn't HE? AMEN
13. Dispensation and Covenant Theologies
It seems that evangelicals are divided over these two but they should not be because both theologies are correct.
Dispensation:
The word dispensation in Biblical theology point of view refers to "the divine ordering of the affairs of the world." GOD'S Providence dealing with men's life on earth needs to be changed from one period to another, and this is the reason why we have Old and New Testament in the Holy Bible. Without dispensation theology concept the separation of Bible into the two testaments could not be justified. In other words GOD sets a different standard for the people under NT from those under OT. OT people were commanded to keep sabbath but NT people are free from it simply because Jesus Christ removed some or many, if not all, OT laws such as commandments, ordinances, statutes, and etc by going to the cross to die for men's sins and transgressions.
Some people divide Bible into like seven or eight different dispensations. These are not justified from the theological point of view but they are just personal opinions or preferences going into minute detail unnecessarily.
Definitely third dispensation is coming, that is, 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) which Christ will set up on earth after HIS second coming (Rev 19:11-16). Then there might be one more and final dispensation, that is, new earth and new heaven (Rev 21:1, 2). Bible does not say the purpose of this final and fourth dispensation as to who is going to live in the new earth. Some cult like Jehovah's Witness (JW) believe paradise shall be on earth instead of in heaven which is the most prevalent assumption in the Christian community.
Covenant:
This considers New Testament church to be continuous from Old Testament Israelites, tabernacle, or temple service, and in fact church is equal to Israel. GOD and Abraham established so called Abrahamic covenant that GOD will bless his descendants (Jews) on earth under OT (Gen 17:1-6) but it was extended to NT and included believing Gentiles. Abraham had many sons with concubines and apostle Paul said that only those from the line of Isaac and Jacob were true Jews (Rom 9:6-9). Then all other descendants of Abraham were considered as Gentiles.
So if Israelites (Jews) were GOD'S chosen people under OT and they were proud of their heritage, that was no longer valid under New Testament simply because Gentile believers were added to GOD'S family through Jesus Christ. Then we have just one Abrahamic covenant and church is just expansion of that covenant, that is, church includes both Israel and Gentile believers. Obviously non-believing Gentiles are excluded from church or this covenant.
In the book of Isaiah, chapter 54 is allegorically spoken by Isaiah about the church or Israel. This chapter supports so called covenant theology, that is, the church is equal or same as Israel. The tone of this chapter is that Isaiah is talking to Israelites in general under OT and he is also referring to the future church under NT at the same time. After talking about suffering Christ for the sins of the world in chapter 53, Isaiah claims the birth of church by telling that good time is coming for it, more Gentiles coming to it, and better prosperity and security of it are promised. This chapter 54 and other chapters throughout major and minor prophets of Old Testament support the covenant theology very clearly that the church under New Testament (new covenant) is counterpart of or the same as Israel (Jerusalem or Zion) under Old Testament (old covenant). In other words, New Testament or new covenant is continuation of Old Testament or old covenant. NT is not totally new or replaces OT but the former is more powerful and amplifies the latter.
As mentioned above in topic number 12 above, men can not know everything about GOD, HIS plan, or whatever even though Bible shows many things clearly more than we need to know. Additional information beyond what is recorded in the Bible is irrelevant to us now. The only concern for us is that we born again believers shall go to heaven or paradise after we die and anything beyond it shall be revealed in the future whenever it might be!
Oh Father we thank and glorify thee very high. We finite and feeble men depend on thee, and try to live present temporary life for thy glory as much as we can. We want and try to evangelize as many lost people as we can by throwing out the life line as some old hymn says. We know that thou loved us so much that thou sent thine only begotten Son Christ (Joh 3:16) so that we can avoid lake of fire or second death (Rev 20:14). I pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.
14. No sins remembered by GOD
GOD does not and will not remember men's sins at all so that it is as if a sinner never sinned once he confesses his sins and asks for forgiveness by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. This is a very mind boggling idea and unbelievably fantastic news for men, and it will motivate them to refrain from iniquities and make closer father-son relationship with HIM. Check out Jer 31:8, 34, 50:20; Isa 43:25; Heb 8:12, 17.
First GOD forgives men's sins by HIS grace (undeserved merit) alone 100% without any contribution from men to wash away filthy sins once men confess of them (Eph 2:8, 9), and then second HE does not remember them afterwards. Bible uses the phrase 'heap coals of fire upon his head' (Pro 25:21, 22) and the idea is that one's enemy shall be humbled if he was treated with favor contrary to the conventional wisdom. Hence king Solomon, a king of wisdom and the wisest man on earth, who was said to write three thousand proverbs and a thousand and five songs (1Ki 4:32) wrote this kind of unconventional wisdom inspired by Holy Ghost definitely. Apostle Paul quoted him when he was telling people in Rome to not avenge anybody but rather leave all retaliation to GOD (Rom 12:19-21) in the NT.
How much coals of fire shall be put upon our heads when we learned that our sins were not only forgiven upon our confession but also forgotten completely white as snow by our merciful GOD the Father in heaven? Can any other god (idol) or religion on earth say like it? Even considering different cults (or branches) within so called 'fake christianity' which imitates the evangelical church (true Christianity), not to mention others like Muslim, Hindu, Buddhism, and etc, none of them will and can teach what EC offers.
As it was mentioned elsewhere in this website, no religion whatsoever on earth can match or even come close to what apostle Paul said in Rom 10:13, that is, any sinner can be saved by just calling Jesus name with mouth (Rom 10:9-12). Again somebody bleeding to death, if he confess of his sins and calls upon the name of Jesus Christ BEFORE he takes his last breath, he is bound to heaven. Alleluia! Praise the LORD. Did any sinner hear about or remember one of the two thieves on both sides of Christ on Calvary that one of them got saved and the other was not shortly before they died on the cross (Luke 23:42, 43)?
Now knowing about how merciful GOD is to not remember our sins and how patient HE is to save us from eternal hell even until the last moment, shall any reprobate sinner out there still refuse to fall down and to say, yes Father save me because I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my iniquities?
15. No punishment for our sins before they were forgiven upon our confession of them under New Testament
This is a very exciting news for all born again believers that we will not be punished for our sins after we confess and ask for forgiveness while living on earth , and we are forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross under New Testament.
The scripture reference for this exciting theology is Eze 11:14-21. GOD told Ezekiel that HE would receive back exiled people of Judah after 70-year captivity in Babylon into their homeland, Judah (Eze 11:17). Basically GOD'S punishment to send them exile to Babylon was inevitable because they were very idolatrous and disobeyed HIS commandments. But GOD restored son-Father relationship with them after the punishment was fulfilled.
It was then under Old Testament. Do born again believers need to be punished or will they be punished for their sins after they confessed them and asked for forgiveness in the name of Christ under New Testament? The answer is NO since Christ suffered and died on the cross not only to forgive our sins but also to spare us from needing to get punished. Isn't it nice?
In Eze 11:21 it says that those people of Judah who did not repent of their sins and did not stop doing the same old sins would receive HIS punishment continuously. So their sincere repentance was required before HE would reconcile with them and bring them back to Judah from 70-year exile in Babylon.
Now all born again believers shall repent of their sins and ask for forgiveness if they ever commit sins under NT because of their conscience and conviction. In KJV Bible language they will be pricked in their heart after they commit sins (Act 2:37; Psa 73:21). Hence they can not just overlook their sins without confessing them--just impossible. In theology item number 5 above, it was said that nobody can lose his salvation which is sealed permanently (Heb 6:1-6). Then it is easy to understand that they would certainly confess and restore son-Father relationship quickly, that is, they will do it sincerely. Then GOD would not punish them for their sins before HE would forgive them by the blood of Christ under NT as HE punished Israelites under OT.
There are 80 verses in the OT with the word ‘punish’ while there are only 9 verses in the NT. It is very evident throughout OT that GOD punished Israelites and other people who transgressed against HIS commandments but HIS punishment against sinful people is not found or mentioned readily under NT. Also the fact that Christ, when HE was hung on the cross to die for men’s sins, took our deserved punishment upon HIMSELF is not mentioned or evident easily throughout NT. It is very clear that born again believers will go to heaven (Joh 3:16), that is, they will avoid hell (lake of fire) after death (unlike unbelievers who are bound to it after death certainly) but it does not address the reality or the fact that born again believers while living on earth are spared from their deserved punishment for their sins before they were forgiven upon their confession.
Then the important question is whether unbelievers will get punished for their sins while living on earth. Does HE punish or send calamities to men on earth regardless whether men are saved or not? Certainly HE will punish unsaved people while living on earth for their sins. HE will send calamities to both saved and unsaved people on earth, not as punishment but rather for the sake of HIS glory by random chance perhaps. See item number 8 above.
Oh Father in heaven we thank thee for sending us thy only begotten Son Christ to establish permanent son-Father relationship. We lift up our hands high and glorify thy name again and again. Please help us commit fewer sins. We condemn Satan. In the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ we rebuke him hard and command him to leave us alone. We will destroy him and his cohorts (evil angels or spirits) in HIS name. Amen
16. Be fruitful and replenish the earth.
Only men on earth practice and are capable of contraception and killing unborn babies in the womb, and these are clearly contrary to GOD'S commandment (Gen 1:22, 27, 28, 8:17, 9:1, 7). Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
HE will punish men for abortion and contraceptive practices by men soon or later and there is no doubt about it unless we repent and stop them right now. HE created heaven and earth for HIS glory as mentioned in the item number eight. HE wanted to be glorified by HIS creation (Psa 57:11; Isa 43:7; Rev 4:11, 5:13) and apostle Paul described the creature and whole creation both animate and inanimate on earth as if they had emotion like men (Rom 8:18-22). Yes they are waiting for Christ's second coming and the following better time on earth also just all born again believers are. Definitely whole creation such as earth and everything in it, and heaven, moon, sun, stars, and all others in the universe are glorifying GOD almighty everyday.
In other words our GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost are being glorified by HIS creation all the time without ceasing. Now shall men practice contraception and abortion to diminish glorifying HIM then? Of course not. Certainly HE will be glorified more and more as the earth is being replenished and multiplied in number.
Now both born again believers and unbelievers seem to justify contraception without their conscience pricked equally more or less but believers should reconsider and stop it now, that is, they should be fruitful as GOD commanded men clearly. For unbelievers who are condemned, lost spiritually, and bound to lake of fire for the second death (Rev 20:14) after the common first death for everybody, they will continue both abortion and contraception without remorse.
For all born again believers need to be taught and explained in regard to the Biblical fact about contraception and abortion since they are aware that they must obey HIS commandments and feel shame if they disobey them. Again GOD wants to be glorified by HIS creation and expects us to be fruitful and to replenish the earth. Should HIS children disobey HIM about it?
There are many both common and unique excuses as to why people practice contraception. The most common excuse or reason might be financial condition. Would GOD allow our children to go hungry when HE commanded us to be fruitful? Do not we miss HIS big financial blessing by having just one or two children instead of as many as we could? Adopting children to grow them to be Christ champion is an excellent idea and HE will be pleased by it very much. Again we born again believers obey HIS commandments even though it does not sound expedient ignoring what other unbelieving sinners do. Be fruitful and replenish the earth!
Oh Father, thou art very patient while we are disobeying thy commandments since creation. We have Bible so that we know what thou expecteth us to do but we break them everyday. We must stop breaking them now no matter how difficult it might sound or appear. We know that Christ died on the cross for our iniquities and suffered in our behalf 2,000 years ago. Nevertheless we feel very sorry simply because we never repent of them and then stop doing them. Is there any end point of this nonsense that we are committing everyday? We should warn them and let them know that they are doing disservice to HIM greatly. I pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.
17. If one loves GOD, he loves his neighbors also.
Another way of saying this title or topic is that one must love GOD before he can love his neighbors. One must be born again by receiving Holy Ghost (Joh 3:3), that is, he replaces his devil or evil spirit acquired by birth naturally with HIM. Everybody is a sinner by birth (Rom 5:12-21) (See item #13 on Exegesis menu) and he must receive Holy Ghost and be born again before he can love GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost which are Trinity. In other words, Holy Ghost is required for anybody to love HIM first and then love his neighbor. See item #31 and #36 below for the the same idea.
Loving HIM will be natural or automatic after being born again simply because GOD (or Holy Ghost) is love (1Joh 4:8) (See item #19 below) and the born again person is filled with Holy Ghost. A sinner born with evil spirit by birth naturally can not love neighbors, not to mention loving GOD the Father, since Holy Ghost is required to love HIM first.
Here is a very interesting verse from 1Jo 4:20, If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? This verse sounds like one must love his neighbor first before he can love GOD at first reading off hand if one reads it from a believer’s point of view, who is saved and has already received Holy Ghost. However it rather talks from an unbeliever’s point of view, who has devil spirit by birth naturally. See item #31 below.
If one says, he neither loves nor hates his neighbors, that is, he is just neutral, then he is the same as one who hates. In other words there is no third option, that is, you either love or hate them. Born again believers must love them as themselves. The greatest first and second New Testament commandments from Jesus Christ were recorded as follows: Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Nobody can love GOD without loving Jews
Now one can clearly see that there is no excuse or room for a born again believer to hate anybody, not to mention Jews. See item #42 below.
There are some religious people like Catholics, Muslims, and others who really hate and/or want to kill Jews known as anti-Semitic either explicitly or implicitly. It is not clear which god or what kind of god they serve and worship. If they worship the same GOD the Father (Jehovah) whom evangelical church worship, then they are wasting their time since GOD turned HIS back against them and never accepted their worship services long time ago from day one. And there are non-religious people who are neutral, that is, they neither hate nor love Jews but they fall under the anti-Semitic category. See above.
It is very evident throughout the Bible that GOD loved Jews very much like apple of HIS eyes (Deu 32:10; Psa 17:8; Lam 2:18; Zec 2:8). Lo and behold, GOD considered that HE was blessed or cursed whenever Jews were treated likewise by Gentiles (Gen 12:1-3). This is a very remarkable theology. HE called Jews HIS inheritance (Deu 4:20). It is the same idea where one loves his next door neighbor's children or considers them favorably whenever he is friendly with him.
The more a born again believer is filled with Holy Ghost, the more Christian love he should have toward his neighbors. Then he can assess how much he is filled with HIM, that is, how faithful he is, by checking himself how much he loves them. As he grows spiritually during his Christian life on earth, his faith shall become stronger and stronger.
Oh our Father in heaven we thank thee for loving us first and then to send thy only begotten Son Christ to die on the cross in order that we are saved from eternal hell. We shall love our neighbors not only in heart but also in charitable deeds just like thy Son Christ demonstrated HIS love toward us while HE was ministering us for three years 2,000 years ago. Yes, Father, we will diligently spread gospel until we die. I pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
18. Suffering comes from GOD'S chastening and correction for men.
I said that men encounter suffering by diverse calamities for GOD'S glory in the item number eight above. Certainly men's suffering is ongoing since creation 6,000 years ago and there is another important reason for it from GOD'S perspective, that is, HE wants to chasten us for correction whatever it might be.
Apostle Paul said, Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
King Solomon said, Pro 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: Pro 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. Pro 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: Re 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Isa 26:16 LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
One can see a nice parallel between these two groups of verses, that is, GOD chasten, chastise, or punish HIS children whether believers or not through all kinds of unfortunate, tragic events on earth, whom HE loves very dearly for correction just like a loving father does not spare a punishing rod for his dear son for the same reason.
We believers are supposed to endure HIS chastening with humility and to correct ourselves if there is any. Also we never forget to glorify HIM as mentioned above in item number eight. There is a nice cause and effect relationship between GOD'S chastening (and correction) and HIS glory, that is, as men are suffering as a result of HIS chastening and correction or by random chance, born again believers glorify HIM even though unbelievers might curse, blame, or wonder why they encounter all kinds of calamities.
Any suffering or chastening no matter how bad it might be can not compare to the ultimate glory reserved for born again believers in heaven eternally after death, I say again eternally. Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Amen
19. GOD is love
1Jo 4:7 ¶ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Joh 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1Joh 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1Jo 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
I added two articles, Loving our neighbors as ourselves and Charity, under the Daily devotion menu. In it I called apostle John Mr. love. He is the only author in the Bible, who talked about how very much GOD loves toward HIS creation in detail and consequently we have to love HIM as well as one another. The degree or magnitude of HIS love is beyond anybody's imagination and love is the most important thing or theme in the New Testament as well as apostle John's writing. The fact that GOD is love should be the most important and practical theology. Any theology discussion, if it is not included, lacks a crucial point in regard to who, what, and how HE is all about and is like a missing tooth. Refer item A above and item #1 under Home menu.
Two things come to my mind in regard to HIS love. First apostle Paul said that the greatest thing among faith, hope, and charity (love) is charity in the love chapter, 1Cor 13:13. Second Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love our Father in heaven first and then secondly to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mat 22:36-40). If one obeys these two commandments, he fulfilled "all the law and the prophets." Is it not very powerful statement?
Every born again believer should ask himself as to how much he loves his neighbor. The more faithful one is, the more he loves his neighbor. Anybody can measure the strength or degree of his faithfulness, that is, how much he is filled with Holy Ghost, by checking himself how much he loves his neighbor. Nobody can lie to himself, can he? Again not loving is the same as hating exactly. There is no third or neutral position; either you love or hate him.
It is true that men can not match with the strength of GOD'S love no matter how hard they try to love their neighbor. Or let us put it this way. The most well known verse in the Bible is Joh 3:16, For GOD so loved the world.... Would anybody die on the cross for his neighbor's sin? Jesus who is GOD and Son of GOD died on it for our sins. That is how strong GOD'S love is.
Oh heavenly Father, we thank thee for sending thine only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to redeem us from eternal damnation. We shall try to emulate thy loving kindness even though we can not match it. We shall love thee "with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind." And then we shall love our neighbors likewise. I pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.
20. Who is Satan?
Satan is a devil (evil) spirit, hence invisible enemy of Trinity (GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Spirit) and born again believers basically. There are only two kinds of spirit, Holy Ghost (Spirit) and Satan (devil spirit). There is only one in the former while there are many in the latter (Mar 5:9, 16:9) and both of them are invisible obviously. Originally he seemed to be an archangel leading some angels in heaven, that is, he was a good angel like other angels in heaven to begin with.
So he was a good angel or spirit turned into a bad angel or spirit so to speak. Apostle Paul compared him with a deceitful apostle disguised into a true apostle (2Cor 11:13-15). Then he and his following bad angels revolted against GOD and they had a war in heaven with Michael and other good angels ages ago (GOD knows when?). Understandably they were defeated and then were cast down to earth. Since then they were tormenting and tempting men on earth but Bible says that born again believers with Holy Ghost prevailed or shall prevail against them (Rev 12:7-12).
All angels whether good or bad like him are created by GOD the Father eternal past probably in order that he can not overcome our GOD the Father who controls both Holy Sprit and devil spirits completely. Jesus expelled devil spirits from demon possessed men many times as recorded in the four gospels in the NT (Mar 5:8, 9, 13). GOD was said to give or take away either spirit from king Saul of Israel. Read item #3 under the Holy Spirit menu. HE will send him and other bad angels or spirits to the lake of fire after all after the so called 1,000-year Christ kingdom ultimately (Rev 20:4, 10) and that is the final destiny for him and others, false christ (Rev 13:1, 2), and false prophet (Rev 13:11), and all of them are very well aware of it. Alleluia, Praise the LORD!
He used a serpent to tempt Eve to eat the fruit of knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden (Gen 3:1-5); he was said to tempt king David to count young Israelites who can go to war (1Ch 21:1); he accused Job before GOD the Father (Job 1:7 and ff); he was said to resist Joshua the high priest before the angel of the LORD (Zec 3:1, 2); he tempted Christ three times after Christ fasted for 40 days (Mat 4:1-11) and Christ mentioned about him often during HIS 3-year ministry on earth; apostle Paul mentioned about his craftiness (2Cor 2:11).
Satan is a proper name of a former angel (Job 1:6-12; Zec 3:1, 2), who was called dragon, old serpent, or Devil also (Rev 12:9). Two other names of good angel are mentioned throughout the Bible, Michael (Dan 10:13, 21, 12:1; Jude 1:9; Rev 12:7) and Gabriel (Dan 8:16, 9:21; Luk 1:19, 26). Another good angel refused to give his name when asked by Samson’s father (Manoah) (Jdg 13:17, 18).
Many evangelicals misunderstood and called Satan incorrectly as Lucifer in Isa 14:12 and the Hebrew word for Lucifer means "morning star" in the sense of brightness. This exact phrase appears two more times in the Bible as part of Jesus' remark, Rev 2:28, 22:16. HE said it in the sense of awarding honour or prestige to true, faithful believers in the former and called HIMSELF as such in the latter. Apostle Peter referred HIM to or called HIM as "the day star" (1Pe 1:19).
Now it is not clear how they considered Lucifer as a nickname for or equal to Satan when clearly prophet Isaiah was calling king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon as Lucifer, son of the morning, in a derogatory sense instead (Isa 14:4). Even though there is no connection whatsoever or it is not a direct, literal translation between Lucifer in Hebrew in the OT and the phrase 'morning star' in Greek in the NT, certainly Christ is offended very much when careless evangelicals call or consider Satan as Lucifer (son of the morning or morning star), isn't HE?
Before I start describing about his identity and history, I'd like to clarify one very common misunderstanding among evangelicals in regard to so called tribulation period in connection with eschatology. It is not 7-year tribulation period but rather it is just half of it, 42 months or 3 and half years (Dan 9:27, 12:7; Rev 11:2, 12:6, 13:5).
See item number four above.
Again Satan and his bad angels are tempting and tormenting people on earth. They are evil spirits, invisible enemies of men, and very smart and powerful with signs and wonders. See spiritual battle and warfare under the Holy Spirit menu. Men can not overcome them except through holding and believing in the blood of Christ on the cross. They represent death but our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ represents life since HE conquered death by resurrection. Alleluia. When Christ will return to earth, HE will crush them and all demon possessed people on earth (Rev 19:11-21). Praise the LORD, Alleluia. Victory in Jesus! Amen
21. GOD is very much punctual and precise.
We all evangelicals (and Bible students) are fully aware of reliability of our heavenly Father, that is , HE would surely perform what HE said HE would. HE is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. HE is the creator of heaven and earth. Every thing whether animate or inanimate in heaven and on earth was made or created by HIM. In other words HE is the beginning of everything literally. HE is timeless, that is, HE has no beginning or ending, eternal past and eternal future!!!??? See item number six above.
Now again we know that HE is very reliable but how many of us think of HIM in terms of fulfilling HIS words on time down to the smallest time men can count? Men are very impatient and want HIM to answer their prayer requests soon but HE has HIS own time table and HE will answer them at the best time for the maximum desirable outcome. Again HE is omniscient.
I realized that HE was very punctual throughout my Bible study. GOD told Abraham that Israelites would be slaves in Egypt for 400 years and leave that country "with great substance" (Gen 15:13, 14). Three angels visited Abraham's tent and told him that Sarah his wife shall have a boy (Gen 18:1, 2, 9-15). Samson was born by a barren woman according to the prophecy of an angel (Jdg 13:1-3, 24, 25). GOD told sinful people of Judah that they would be in exile for 70 years for punishment (Jer 23:17, 25:11, 12, 29:10; Dan 9:2).
When I was studying Numbers chapter 16 in regard to the rebellion of some princes against Moses' leadership, I felt another prompt response or reaction from GOD. Moses went to the tents of Dathan and Abiram in the camp to execute them because they challenged Moses' leadership, and elders of Israel followed him (Num 16:25). He told other Israelites who set up their tents nearby them to depart as soon as possible because these two men's tents and their family members were about to go down to the pit and buried in a split second. As soon as Moses pronounced judgment (GOD'S wrath) the ground clave asunder that was under them, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up (Num 16:31-33). How scary it must have been to them who were watching it? GOD'S response was immediate once Moses finished declaring judgment.
Coming over to New Testament, one can find that the birth of both John the Baptist and Christ was prophesied by the angel Gabriel and fulfilled on time (Luk 1:13, 19, 26, 30, 31, 35, 36, 56, 57). When the father of John the Baptist was wondering about the prophecy, he was told by Gabriel that he would be dumb "until the day that these things shall be performed" (Luk 1:20) and he opened his mouth "immediately" after 9 months on time (Luk 1:57-64).
Now looking into the future, we are expecting Christ's second advent referring to HIS second coming which shall happen on time without delay even one second so to speak. We are about 6,000 years since creation of Gen 1:1, 4,000 years B.C. up to Christ birth and 2,000 A.D. since then. Basically the earth history is 7,000 years precisely, no more or less than even one second, and there will be 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) after Christ second coming. The number seven has a spiritual significance of perfect completion like 7 days a week, sabbath day or year rest (Gen 2:2; Lev 25:3, 4), 70th week of Daniel, 70 years of captivity of Judah, a jubile on the 50th year right after 49 (7 times 7) years (Lev 25:8-12), and etc
Obviously our calendar is approximate and that is the reason why we do not see Christ second coming well after 2,000 years A.D.. Only GOD the Father in heaven knows the exact mark of 6,000 years since creation. For those Bible students who read in the Bible about signs which shall happen before HIS second coming, they can tell how close or far we are from it. When GOD determined 7,000 years of earth history exactly in HIS mind at the time of creation or even before it, HE will neither delay nor advance again even one second. Our Father in heaven is so punctual that HE will carry out what HE intended to do on time precisely. GOD is perfect in all aspects men can think of and nobody is beside HIM. Then it is not difficult to imagine HIS perfect timing, is it?
22. Nobody is above GOD'S dominion.
Our Father Jehovah (I AM, Exo 3:14) is the creator of heaven and earth and everything in them, and timeless (no beginning and ending, eternal past, present, and eternal future). Nobody can challenge HIM literally including Satan, the prince of Devil and arch enemy of HIM. He can not do any evil thing unless GOD allows him to do it. He and other evil angels are destined to hell (lake of fire) ultimately (Rev 20:10), and they are fully aware of it. Alleluia! See below.
Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. Satan destroys Job's children and properties afterwards, of course by miracle; he can do it as far as GOD allows him to do it. In other words HE controls him completely. Alleluia!
There is no other enemy of GOD the Father Jehovah in heaven and on earth beside Satan (the devil) and his other bad angels currently and there will not be any enemy of HIM who is mightier than HIM according to the Bible in the future. See item #20 above.
Re 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Well it is over after this finally. Yes, finally. Alleluia!
So the whole idea is that nobody was, is, and will be above GOD'S dominion, eternal past, present, and forever! Praise the LORD!
23. Hell and "lake of fire" are the two different places for sinners.
Only one Hebrew word (H7585, sheol) was translated into the English word hell in OT while two Greek words, G86 (hades) and G1067 (geenna), were into hell in NT. The former is a literal term for hell and denotes the realm of dead, the grave, death, or hell while the latter is a figurative term or expression also known as "Gehenna" and denotes the valley of the son of Hinnom which was south of Jerusalem. The later idolatrous kings of Judah, Ahaz and Manasseh, made their children "pass through the fire," in this valley (2Ki 16:3; 2Ch28:3; 2Ch 33:6), and the fiendish custom of infant sacrifice to the fire-gods seems to have been kept up in Tophet, which was another name for this place. Basically both Greek words mean the same place, hell.
After a born again (saved) man dies, Holy Ghost will leave him but his soul will be sleeping in the grave until rapture. See item #9 above and also item number 3 under the Holy Spirit menu. After a lost man (unsaved) dies, his evil spirit(s) shall not depart from him but stays with his soul to hell immediately. See item #7 under the Daily devotion menu.
Typically the final destiny or stop for lost people who died without salvation as well as Satan and his other evil angels (Rev 12:7-12) shall be lake of fire (Rev 20:10) which is said to be the second death (Rev 20:14), the first death being common death which everybody on earth shall encounter. Bible talks about the first resurrection for born again people as well as the the second one for lost people (Rev 20:5), and this refers to the rapture for the souls of born again people during Jesus second coming (1Th 4:13-18). Then the second resurrection (or rapture) must be for lost people who were sent to hell right after the first common death and being tormented in hell for 1,000 years or more right before they will stand before the white throne judgment seat (Rev 20:11-15). Read the paragraph right before the last paragraph in item 4.
There is a very interesting parable in Luk 16:1-31. Jesus was talking about a beggar Lazarus and a rich man. They went to "Abraham's bosom" and hell respectively after death. Although this story was considered as another parable among others which Jesus spoke of, it could well be a real story since real names were used. Did Jesus mean a separate place called hell other than lake of fire? Now let us look at Rev 20:14 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." This verse sounds like hell and lake of fire are two different places reserved for the lost, unsaved people after the first death, doesn't it? Read Rev 20:4, 10-15.
If they are different, what would be the purpose of hell? The phrase 'lake of fire' appears only four times in the Bible Rev 19:20, 20:10, 14, 15. Would the souls of unsaved sinners be sent to hell right after 'the first death' and be tormented over there day and night like the rich man above until the time for the white throne of judgment after the 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4)? The answer is resounding Yes. They would be judged "according to their works" and sent to the lake of fire which is called the second death (Rev 20:10-15) if their names are not found in the book of life. Read the fourth paragraph in the item number 3 under Holy Spirit menu and the fifth paragraph in the item number 7 under Daily devotion menu.
Now this white throne of judgment is for sinners only, who died the first, common death without salvation since saved people went through rapture, met Jesus Christ in the air, and then entered into heaven forever ages ago. See item #9 above. I mentioned in item #11 that the names of some lost people standing before the judgment seat shall be found in the book of life so that they can go to heaven too. This is a tremendous, good news as well as a huge surprise for unbelievers, isn't it? For unbelievers should ask themselves, why do I take a chance of my name be found in it at the judgment seat? If I receive Christ as my saviour right now, then it settles once for all. I'll go through rapture and then to heaven! Read Rev 20:11-15 again carefully.
Now here is one dilemma. If there is a chance for some lost people whose names might be found in the book of life during the white throne judgment which is for the lost people only and consequently go to heaven after all as mentioned above and under item 11, why should they suffer in hell for 1,000 years or more right after the first death? The only plausible answer might be that they would not be sent to hell right after the first death but would be sleeping in the grave. They would not experience the first resurrection during HIS second coming but would be sleeping all the way through 1,000 year Christ kingdom until the white throne judgment. This is just speculation and can not be proven in the scripture.
If they are the same place, then the souls of all unsaved people would be sleeping in the grave until the time for the judgment will come after the 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4, 11-15) but as a matter fact they are two different tormenting places reserved for the lost sinners.
We are living under the New Testament dispensation so that our destiny after the first death depends on whether we are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. John the Baptist saved Jews (and Gentiles) by repentance followed by water baptism shortly before Christ started HIS ministry, and his water baptism for salvation continued for a while through early period of book of Acts (Act 2:38, 19:1-7) even after Christ died on the cross and rose on the third day.
GOD judged OT people (both Jews and Gentiles) by Mosaic law definitely. They are sleeping in the grave right now and some of them will experience rapture. All others will be judged along with NT people before the judgment seat, who died first death without salvation simply because they rejected Jesus Christ.
Oh Father, we born again believers in Jesus Christ thank thee for giving us clear understanding and assurance that we shall spend our second life in heaven eternally. Amen
24. GOD'S blessing is contingent upon our trust and fear in HIM.
De 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
Bible is very, very clear that HE will bless HIS children if we born again believers obey HIS commandments and trust in HIM faithfully. In other words, we are missing HIS blessing if we do not, and this is very, very unfortunate. It is one thing to miss it by rejecting gospel and then by not being HIS children, that is, being lost people spiritually just like many reprobate people or nations on earth, but it is another thing to miss it for us (believers) to not know this very crucial Biblical principle. GOD was said to bless Isaac simply because his father Abraham obeyed GOD'S commandments.
Ge 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Ge 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
I mentioned in my article Repent USA under the Messages menu that America must go back to GOD Almighty to get out of the mess. It is going down the hill right now and when will it repent and turn to HIM? The book of Jeremiah in the Old Testament shows that Judah was conquered by Babylonians eventually after it did not heed to diverse warnings from GOD via OT prophets. Read introduction under the Messages menu.
King David in Psalm 33 said that GOD will bless a man (or a nation) who fear HIM (Psa 33:18). Also check out Psa 33:12 ¶ Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Israelites were said to be GOD’S inheritance (Deu 4:20) and Israel was HIS nation but they disobeyed and turned their back against HIM. Consequently HE punished them very badly. In today’s application, were America and Britain only two Christian nations on earth? Are they still now? Did HE choose them as HIS inheritance? Certainly they were blessed by HIM before but they are deserting HIM gradually nowadays and consequently they are having many problems and getting deteriorated. They must come back to HIM as soon as possible to receive HIS blessings again as in the old time.
Now who does not want HIS blessing? There is another secret for it in Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Oh Father in heaven we are very ignorant. Give us wisdom to discern right from wrong or correct from incorrect. We need to study THY word more and more to know about THEE more deeply. Why can not we learn to be humble more and more? Our pride is killing us. THOU hateth it very much. Help us realize it. I pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
Let us look at from a different angle, that is, if we disobey HIS commandments, do not trust and fear HIM, then surely we will encounter HIS wrath, not to mention about losing HIS blessing. This is a sure cause and effect thing.
2Ch 12:1 And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
2Ch 12:2 And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD,
Because they (king Rehoboam and people of Judah) had transgressed against the LORD: This was very obvious consequence of disobeying HIS commandments, wasn’t it?
We will face HIS wrath if we do not obey them in modern time as well. Can modern people learn any lesson from reading Bible like this story? Should they not become alert and careful as to what and how they live, that is, how they will serve, obey, praise, and etc HIM on earth right now? Certainly we do not want to repeat the follies of what and how Israelites failed to obey HIS commandments utterly and consequently received HIS wrath during OT period.
Now one can see throughout the OT scripture that Israelites angered GOD during OT period by idolatry, oppression, disregarding the poor, cheating, and etc. Then one can wonder how modern people provoke HIM to anger. In other words, how do we disobey HIM nowadays? The answer is that they are irreligious, that is, most people disregard or ignorant of the creator or heaven and earth. So they do not fear HIM and consequently they do not obey HIS commandments and do not have any concern about the second life after death at all.
Idolatry, which was the number one issue for Israelites and heathens during OT, is not that big deal nowadays under NT since modern people do not seem to worship or serve any kind of idol. See articles #40 and #47 below. Men must fear and worship HIM regularly, that is, men must respect HIM as the creator of heaven and earth, and as our Father in heaven. Ignoring HIM totally as if HE is not real offends HIM very much, not to mention forfeiting HIS coveted and needed blessing upon mankind.
25. If a baby or a child dies early, he shall go to heaven automatically.
When I was studying Matthew 18, I noticed Jesus talking about not despising little children, about a lost sheep (Mat 18:10-13), and then he said in verse 14, Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Then my thought came about whether a child who died early without having a chance to be born again or saved shall go to heaven, not to mention hell. Obviously he is bound to paradise after premature death by the blood of Christ on the cross. Alleluia!
Over at Deu 1:39 GOD was said to allow little children who had no knowledge of good and evil to enter into Canaan (promised land) while their murmuring parents were disallowed and consequently they were all perished while they were wondering in the wilderness for forty years because of their murmuring against Moses and Aaron (Num 14:2, 23; Deu 1:35).
Over at Rom 2:11, 12 apostle Paul clearly indicates that anyone, if he died without hearing gospel message, will be judged according to the merit instead of whether he is saved or not by accepting Christ as saviour (Joh 3:16) and this makes a perfect sense. A child is too immature to have a saving faith in Christ (Eph 2:8). Then the discussion is over, isn't it?
Another reference, 1Ki 14:11-13
In 1Ki chapter 14, a wicked king Jeroboam’s child Abijah fell in sick and therefore sent his wife to a prophet Ahijah to see if his sick child would recover. Read the prophet’s negative prophecy in 1Ki 14:11-13 followed by exegesis on verse 13.
1Ki 14:11 Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it.
1Ki 14:12 Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
1Ki 14:13 And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.
13. for he (Jeroboam's sick son about to die, Abijah) only of Jeroboam...grave: His son will be privileged to be buried but everybody else (Jeroboam and his other family members) will not be buried but their carcass will be eaten by dogs or fowls of air as in verse 11. In the Bible time, people considered very much humiliating and dishonored for the dead bodies left out in the open field to be food for dogs or fowls.
because in him there...: whatever this sick son of Jeroboam did, it pleased GOD; so GOD allowed him to be buried.
He was apparently a child (vv 3, 12) instead of a fully grown up adult so that he was yet to learn about good and evil fully. Then it was not what he did or did not, which pleased GOD, but rather HE spared him from punishment simply because he was too young.
This brings up an interesting theology that children who died in their very early age without knowing good and evil should not be the subject to the same judgment or standard as adults before so called the white throne judgment seat (Rev 20:11-15).
Then all babies or very young children, if they die early before knowing good and evil, shall go to heaven automatically by the blood of Christ.
However there is a big question as to whether a young child who died early will get resurrected during rapture (1Th 4:13-18) as a child or an adult. The answer should be yes, as a child. Then after meeting Christ in the air along with other born again adults, young, old, and in between, they must enter into heaven as children, and will grow up to adults in heaven perhaps. Will they? Can anyone find a clear answer in the scripture?
I decided to post this section since most evangelicals do not consider or talk about children when it comes down to salvation, accountability, heaven, hell, lake of fire, and etc after death. Did anyone hear about evangelizing children? One thing vey clear beyond shadow of doubt is that Christ died on the cross for everybody including children, babies, and yes, unborn babies also!
Oh heavenly Father I on behalf of evangelicals of the world thank thee for sending us Christ to die on the cross to redeem literally every human being on earth 2,000 years ago. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
26. Jesus entrusted born again believers to judge who is qualified to go to heaven.
A born again believer has the key to heaven, that is, he can judge whether a man can enter into heaven or is bound to hell after death, that is, he can pronounce him either 'accepted' or 'denied' to heaven after death and GOD will honor his verdict. This is a very tremendous and unbelievable privilege for believers. Just too much unthinkable!
Mt 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Mt 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Joh 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
Jesus told Peter in Mat 16:19 and HIS disciples in the other two verses above, and HE was saying the same thing in all three verses basically, that is, they can judge people if they are born again (saved) to go to heaven or lost sinners bound to hell (lake of fire) after death. One should keep in mind that when Jesus told HIS 12 disciples about the privilege as quoted above, HE knew who was really qualified among them. In other words, Judas Iscariot who betrayed HIM was not qualified obviously.
A certain man asked Jesus about inheriting eternal life, that is, how to avoid hell but enter into heaven after death (Mat 19:16; Mar 10:17; Luk 10:25, 18:18). His disciples could not answer this simple question back then but all born again believers should be able to answer it easily and correctly nowadays since we have Bible but it was not available during Jesus time.
During book of Acts and Paul’s epistles, the apostles under the direction of the Holy Spirit was able to establish the rules of the church discipline, as well as to announce the conditions of salvation by the gospel. These rules and conditions were the guide to determine the qualification to go to heaven or to fall into hell after death. As they spoke and wrote moved by Holy Ghost, whatever they announced or did was bound in heaven, that is, Trinity (GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost) in heaven approved it.
In today’s application a newly born again believer with Holy Ghost who is a baby spiritually may not know how to use the key to lock or unlock the door to heaven or hell so to speak (A baby can not feed himself, can he?) but once he grows his faith down the road, that is, he becomes more mature spiritually, then he can use the key to heaven or hell properly. Amen
27. The Holiness of GOD; the sanctification of or from GOD the Father
Born again believers hardly ever think about the holiness of GOD; they are very ignorant of HIS holiness simply because their pastors hardly ever preach or mention about it. They should remind their congregation of it periodically.
The words ‘sanctify’ or ‘consecrate’ means to make someone or something holy so that these two words go hand in hand with the word ‘holiness’ (Lev 11:44, 45, 19:2, 20:7, 26; Exo 22:31; Psa 86:2; Mat 5:48; 1Pe 1:15, 16); GOD the Father sanctifies us (Jude 1). Then whatever we born again believers speak or do, we should be holy or sanctified to meet HIS expectation.
While Israelites were wondering in the wilderness for 40 year, they used to set up a new camp at a new location. In each camp site they set up their tents around the tabernacle of the LORD, that is, it was sitting in the middle of their dwelling places. GOD told Moses that they remove any defiled man like a leper or anyone with issue out of the camp simply because GOD (Tabernacle) was dwelling in the middle of the camp. Basically HE did not want any uncleanness, defiled man or beast, to be present inside the camp (Num 5:1-4).
GOD was so holy that HE would not tolerate any unholy thing among them. They were supposed to be careful to not weaken or impair HIS holiness by failing to remove any unclean thing away from the tabernacle of the congregation or from the camp.
Over at Deu 23:13, 14, GOD commanded Israelites to carry a paddle when they go to war to cover after they ease themselves within their camp because they can not leave impurity uncovered when HE is in the midst of them, which will offend HIM very much. GOD is so holy that HE expects everybody regardless of ethnic background (Jew or Gentile) to respect HIM and to observe holiness or purity. Certainly HE has a higher standard in holiness, clean or unclean, or what have you than men.
In today's application every church should examine if its worship service is holy enough to be accepted by GOD. Every church has a different style of worship service in terms of music, different version of Bible, dress code, and etc. It is easy for it to become unholy. Certainly many churches offend HIM by worshipping HIM with mean or contemptible worship services which are not pleasing to HIS taste at all nowadays.
28. GOD'S blessing or cursing is in proportion to men's good or bad deeds respectively.
The more we love GOD and obey HIS commandments, the more blessing we shall receive from HIM. Bible mentions about Jesus rewarding men according to their works either positively with award or negatively with punishment (Mat 16:27; 1Cor 3:8; 2Ti 4:14; Rev 18:6, 22:12). The greatest man in the kingdom of God will receive the highest reward or vice versa.
When Jesus was visiting a Pharisee's house, a woman who was a sinner came to the house and anointed Jesus' feet (Luk 7:36-38). Jesus comparing her noble deed with how he was treated by the Pharisee host forgave her sins.
Lu 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. The idea was that her hospitality toward Jesus has been a lot greater than how the Pharisee host treated HIM so that her sins should be forgiven in proportion a lot more than the Pharisee's sins. She showed her love and faith toward Christ in action, and this reminds of James in Jam 2:20. Christ forgave her sins because of her benevolent act on HIM. James was criticizing some Christian Jews about lip-service without deeds. He did not like their hypocrisy in which they just said nice words but did not do them (Jam 2:16). Here she showed her love and faith in Christ by washing HIS feet and anointing HIS feet, and Christ counted her deed very righteous and noble, and forgave her sins.
In today's application, the degree of faith among born again believers varies very widely from no action to very much fired up for obeying GOD'S commandments. Once saved (born again) by the blood of Jesus Christ, everybody will go to heaven after death certainly but each man will receive different reward whatever that might be according to his good works. Mt 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
I used what I call ‘proportional degree writings’ many times like, the more…the more, throughout this website. I gathered them in one place right here. You can click the link to go to the places of them if necessary.

29. The origin of good and evil things.
Adam and Eve were not aware of good and evil at all or they knew about good things only after they were created by GOD in the garden of Eden but they knew or were aware of them after they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then one can conclude that the tree was the origin of good and evil. But read on.
Only GOD knew good and evil to begin with from eternal past and HE was concerned that they knew about them also after they ate it (Gen 3:5, 22). Good angels in heaven knew about good and evil before also very likely since Satan and other angels who were good angels to begin with before they rebelled against GOD to become like a god. Then there was war in heaven between Michael and good angels against Satan and other bad angels. Then Satan and other bad angels were expelled from heaven to earth (Rev 12:7-12). Afterwards Satan and bad angels are creating all kinds of evil things on earth. Then Satan and bad angels are the origin of bad (evil) things on earth.
GOD owns both Holy Spirit and evil spirit(s). HE was said to give or take away either sprit from king Saul as mentioned before. In Rev 12:7-12, one can read about the origin of Satan and other bad angels or bad angelic spirits that they are tormenting and tempting men on earth ever since they were expelled from heaven; only GOD knows when it happened. Our Almighty GOD is above Satan and his angels. In other words nobody in heaven or earth is above GOD'S dominion. See the last three paragraphs of item number 3 under the Holy Spirit menu. Satan and other evil angelic spirits know that their final destination shall be lake of fire (Rev 20:10).
So all kinds of evil things were and are happening on earth right now due to Satan and his evil spirits who control so called earthly kingdom. He can not touch or tempt heavenly kingdom (heaven) obviously since they were expelled from it, can he? GOD allowed him to torment and tempt men on earth probably to test their heart. The origin of good things are from GOD obviously and born again people filled with Holy Ghost are living among evil things and evil people who are bound to the lake of fire later eventually but good people like saved people are headed to paradise, heavenly kingdom, where only good things are present. Alleluia, praise the LORD.
30. The distinction between Jews and Gentiles under OT is abolished all together under NT.
Jews were GOD'S chosen people and very peculiar, apple of HIS eyes (Deu 32:10; Psa 17:8), and HIS inheritance (Deu 4:20) under OT. Nobody can love GOD without loving Jews or vice versa. See item number 42 below. HE will bless or curse anyone or nation that bless or curse Jews respectively (Gen 12:1-3).
Let us look at Deu 15:1-6, 23:19, 20 carefully. GOD commanded Israelites to not oppress one another but forgive debts, release fellow bondmen and/or properties every 7th year (sabbatical release) and during jubilee (every 50th year). See Lev 25:42. However it was OK for them to oppress foreigners or strangers (Gentiles, Lev 25:45). GOD promised abundant blessing if they obeyed and do HIS commandments, that is, HIS blessing was conditional. This is true for everybody or nation for Jews and Gentiles nowadays under NT. See item number 24 above.
So it was very clear throughout OT that GOD considered Jews a lot more favorably than Gentiles under OT but it should not be so any longer under NT simply because Christ died on the cross for everybody's sins and transgressions on earth. If Jews were GOD'S peculiar people by HIS providence and choice under OT, Christ's death on the cross brought Gentiles into GOD'S family.
Let us consider one verse, Deu 15:6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
GOD considers Christians who are born again, evangelical, and saved nowadays under NT as HE considered Israelites (HIS inheritance) back in OT time. In other words, Christians whether Jews or Gentiles are GOD’S inheritance too since we are HIS sons and daughters through HIS only begotten son Jesus Christ under NT;
Therefore, GOD would not allow Christians individually or as a Christian nation to be poor or to be weak so that unsaved, lost people (other heathen people or nations, that is, enemies of GOD) shall dominate or control them. This idea is very obvious since GOD is almighty and is the creator of universe and it is disgraceful if HIS adopted sons and daughters (Christians) whether Jews or Gentiles under NT are under the influence of unsaved, lost people on earth.
One of the apostle Paul’s epistles (Ephesians) was sent to Gentiles in the church of Ephesus. He was telling them that Gentiles were fully absorbed into the family of GOD and Jews due to the fact that Christ died on the cross for everybody regardless. Read annotation on verse 18 under the item number 12 under the Exegesis menu.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Notice in this verse that Christ broke down the middle wall between Jews and Gentiles. Read Eph 2:11-22 for a full discourse.
Neither can Jews boast of their heritage as GOD'S chosen people nor can they look down on Gentiles as inferior race under NT. They were highly favored by GOD under OT, but they are not any more under NT. Sorry folks. Both Jews and Gentiles are standing on the even ground before HIM nowadays. Thank you Jesus! Alleluia, Praise the LORD.
If a Jew is not saved by accepting Christ as his personal saviour under NT, he will be out of GOD’S favor and will be like a heathen under OT. Nevertheless Bible says that all Jews shall be saved eventually (Rom 11:26; Isa 45:17; Hos 3:5; Amo 9:14, 15). See Rev 7:1-8, 14:1-5. This is due to the so called Abrahamic covenant which GOD made with Abraham under OT (Gen 17:1, 2) that HE will bless his descendants forever.
One of the most convincing evidence that Gentiles are children of Abraham (by faith in GOD the Father and Son Christ) and privileged people of HIM under NT just like Jews were under OT, that is, both of them are children of Abraham on the equal footing basis and are therefore entitled completely to the promise of GOD to Abraham or the covenant between them (Gen 17:1-9) comes from the verses as follows. Read entire Galatians chapter 3 for better understanding.
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
31. Anybody must love GOD first before he can love his neighbor
1Joh 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Joh 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
1Joh 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Let us consider 1Joh 4:20 above carefully, which is somewhat tricky. It sounds like that one must love his neighbor whom he can see first before he can love GOD whom he can not see but it is the other way.
One must love HIM first before he can love them simply because loving GOD is an higher order and more powerful than loving them, and more importantly one must be born again, that is, he must replace his evil spirit with Holy Ghost (Joh 3:3) before he can love HIM first and then his neighbor afterwards.
In this verse apostle John was talking about a sinner instead of a born again man. He does not love his neighbor naturally because he is still dictated by evil spirit with whom he was born naturally. So he can not say, I love GOD but hate my neighbor. As a matter of fact he can not love both of them.
Any sinner with evil spirit can not love GOD since receiving Holy Ghost is prerequisite to love HIM, that is, only born again (saved) with Holy Ghost can love HIM.
Naturally people are evil because they are sinners by birth; they received evil spirit by birth and became sinners (Rom 5:12-21). Then they do not love their neighbors naturally but they can love them once they become born again (saved, Joh 3:3) after replacing evil spirit with Holy Ghost (Spirit) in their heart and then love HIM first naturally.
After being born again (saved), one will love GOD the Father (and Son Christ) consequently. Then he can love his neighbor easily afterwards.
Read annotation on 1Joh 3:1 below.
love: This is the translation of Greek (Agape) in apostle John's writing and other books in the New Testament.
The same Greek word is translated into charity in different Paul's epistles and other books of NT. One good example is 1Cor 13:13.
There are three different Greek words differentiating three different types of love such as eros denoting lust after physically, agape sacrificial and unconditional love, and phileo simple and ordinary love.
English language has only one equivalent word, love. Certainly KJV used the word 'charity' instead of the 'love' rightly so for more accurate translation.
therefore the world knoweth (loveth) us not: Secular people in the world can not know that we believers in Christ are loved by GOD (Jehovah, Father) because they are not born again, that is, they are still under the influence of evil spirit with which they are born with naturally. In other words they did not receive Holy Ghost to love the Father; they can not love their neighbors either without Holy Ghost naturally.
Because it (the world, sinners) knew (loved) him (GOD the Father) not: So the sinners (world) must be born again and receive Holy Ghost before they can love GOD first and then they can love their neighbors as mentioned in 1Joh 4: 20, 21 above.
32. Holy Ghost (Spirit) is the only source of power in Trinity.
Basically Holy Ghost is the one who makes GOD the Father as to who HE is, what HE can do, HIS timeless character like no beginning or ending, HIS personality like righteousness, mercifulness, grace, or any positive, eternal, and unchanging thing or character about HIM.
Then there is a tremendous implication or application for all born again believers to receive HIM when they are born again (Joh 3:3). See item number 10 above. They become God, become equal to HIM, or become part of Trinity to form or create so called Four Part Theology first of all (Joh 17:20-23) even though they (men) can not do miracles like GOD the Father and Son Christ, and will die common death soon or later once on earth.
Nevertheless they can think or act like GOD figuratively speaking, and take advantage of having Holy Ghost in their mind. Receiving Holy Ghost means that they receive GOD the Father and Son Christ at the same time also.
Nobody can separate Trinity (GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost; 1Joh 5:7, 8) in order that one receives all THREE when he receives either Son Christ or Holy Ghost. Nobody can receive GOD the Father first without receiving either of the other TWO first (Joh 14:6, 3:3, 6:44). See the first paragraph in item number 10 above (“can not be separated”).
Holy Ghost is the empowering agent in Trinity so that HE makes GOD the Father and Son Christ perform all kinds of miracles, and makes them to be who THEY are basically like omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. In other words THEY are nothing without HIM so to speak. HE is THEIR very core being or essence. Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
HE was with GOD the Father who created heaven and earth in the beginning (Gen 1:26). See the fifth paragraph in item number one above. GOD the Father was said to be Spirit (Joh 4:24), that is, HE is the original owner of Holy Ghost. GOD the Father and GOD the Son are one (John 10:30). The former gave Holy Ghost (Spirit) to the latter (Mat 3:16) or rather the latter received HIM from the former. Holy Ghost empowered not only Father and Son to perform miracles but also HE made other notable characters who received HIM to do likewise in the scripture. Nevertheless no born again believer who received HIM can do them nowadays. See item number 12 under the Holy Spirit menu.
Holy Ghost is the source of wisdom, that is, HE made both Father and Son very wise. So any born again person with Holy Ghost can increase his wisdom, first by fearing GOD the Father. See item number 10 under the Holy Spirit menu.
Now one can see how Holy Ghost who is invisible but can be felt like wind (Joh 3:7, 8) is playing a very important and crucial role in Trinity. HE is the only source of power for what GOD the Father and Son Christ can or will do, or who THEY were, are, or will be forever. This further proves Trinity theology (1Joh 5:7, 8). Amen
33. GOD, that is, Trinity watches and knows men on earth very intimately.
Almost all people on earth both born again believers and lost sinners are not aware of the reality that Trinity (GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost) is watching them and knows what they are doing or thinking always simply because nobody can see or hear HIM. In other words HE is not in their mind or thinking at all. However HE knows all things happening in HIS own creation, heaven and earth. HE is not just ignorant of what is happening both good and evil.
Psa 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psa 33:13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
Psa 33:14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
Psa 33:15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
Nobody can hide from GOD who knows everything or every thought of men (Jer 17:10, 23:22-24; Psa 139:1-8). The way how HE knows about everybody on earth very personally is because of either Holy Ghost for born again believers or evil spirit for lost sinners. GOD controls both spirits completely. Go to item numbers 1 and 3 under Holy Spirit menu. Read item numbers 1, 10, and 32 above in regard to Holy Spirit.
When we do wrong or good against our neighbor, GOD know them in detail and will do to us accordingly either punishment or blessing respectively. Apostle Paul in 1Th 4:6-8 said that GOD will avenge when a man defrauds his brother simply because he commits a sin against GOD and offends HIM indirectly. See verse 8 below and item #46 down below.
1Th 4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
1Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
1Th 4:8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
GOD or rather HIS angels oversee men’s affair on earth and reward the good with blessing and punish the bad with calamities. In other words HE is not just unaware or ignorant of things happening on earth. On the contrary HIS angels are watching literally everything happening and how men live on earth. Every good or bad thing of men is counted by them in heaven, and they reward them accordingly in order that a wicked man can not escape GOD’S avenge for his wickedness—this is the universal law without exception.
HE is very much offended when HE sees men suffering from famine, pestilence, or war and nobody takes care of suffering people. Men, animals, and other creation on earth suffer for HIS glory as mentioned in item 8 above but HE wants other people to help suffering people. We born again people are supposed to be compassionate toward suffering people and to help them as much as we can; otherwise, we are not different from other unbelieving, cold, and lost people (sinners).
We born again believers should maintain close relationship with GOD through Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ by praying and attending worship services regularly. Holy Ghost or Spirit (also known as Comforter) is a substitute for Jesus Christ (Joh 14:16, 26, 15:26, 16:7). HE will guide and teach us all things so that we can live a good life on earth generally speaking until we die and go to heaven later. HE and Jesus Christ are the direct channel between GOD or Trinity and us.
Christ was said to be Immanuel (GOD is with us) (Isa 7:14). GOD the Father along with Son Christ and Holy Ghost, that is, Trinity is within our hearts. We should pray to GOD the Father as often as we can. The more we pray, the closer relationship we can maintain with the Father. We should not be ignorant or forgetful of the fact that HE is in our hearts or mind and is watching and taking care of us all the time. Amen
34. GOD will bless anyone who helps HIS servants. Jer chapter 45.
Jer 45:1 ¶ The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
Jer 45:2 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch;
Jer 45:3 Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.
Jer 45:4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
Jer 45:5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
The following is the except of my exegesis on this very short chapter, Jer 45, in the OT.
Chapter XLV: This chapter seems out of order in the book of Jeremiah because it talks about the period during king Jehoiakim (chapter 36) before Jerusalem fell (It was fallen by Nebuchadnezzar during the last king of Judah, Zedekiah (2Ki 24:17; 25).
This chapter is basically about GOD'S care for Baruch the scribe. GOD is giving him reward for writing all the words of prophecy against Judah spoken by Jeremiah and then reading them to the princes and king Jehoiakim of Judah later (36:4-6). This short chapter should have been part of chapter 36. GOD also rewarded the eunuch for taking out Jeremiah from the dungeon, Jer 38:6-13, 39:16-18.
So one can develop a theology that GOD will bless anyone who helps HIS servants. In today's application, if one supports missionaries, pastors, a real Bible believing church, or anybody or any organization that works for GOD, HE will certainly reward him with good things whatever they might be.
1. in the fourth year of Jehoiakim: 36:1
3. Thou (Baruch) didst say, Woe is me now!
4. Thus shalt thou (Jeremiah) say unto him (Baruch)....
5. but thy life will I give…goest: that is, the life of Baruch shall be preserved by GOD no matter how dangerous place he will be at.
35. The difference between antichrist and false christ
The word ‘antichrist’ is used incorrectly among believers when they talk about end time prophecy in the Bible. Instead they should use ‘false christ’ which is correct and accurate based on the scripture. Somebody started using the word antichrist when he actually meant to say false christ long time ago and it spread out to many people over a long period of time and then it just became a byword to designate false christ in the evangelical community and nobody hardly ever questioned it unfortunately.
Now there are several references to false christ in the scripture such as “little horn” (Dan 7:8), “beast” (Rev 13:1, 4, 19:20, 20:10 ), and “man of sin,” “the son of perdition” (2Th 2:3). He should not be called as and IS NOT antichrist but he is false christ rather.
Apostle John defined antichrist very nicely as follows,
1Jo 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
So anybody who denies that Jesus is Christ, HE is GOD (deity of Christ, the Father and the Son), and HE was come in the flesh by virgin birth through Mary first time, he belongs to antichrist people who were around on earth more than 2,000 years ago or ever since Christ came to earth first time and now we born again believers are waiting for HIS second coming.
In other words there were antichrist people who did not believe in Christ when HE came first time, and they were corrupt Jewish religious leaders like Sadducees, Pharisees, scribes, and etc who crucified HIM on the cross as described in the four gospel books in the NT.
Therefore the word antichrist is not a specific term pointing to one prominent figure like many people misuse the word but it is a general term for people who deny or do not believe in Jesus Christ.
There is going to be many false christs who claim to be real christ come from heaven second time as end time is approaching very rapidly. Then we will find out real false christ when he will reveal himself before that 3 and half year tribulation period will begin (Dan 9:27). Go to the item number 4 (Post tribulation rapture) above regarding 3 and half year tribulation period---another common misunderstanding.
Jesus alluded to this real false christ, son of perdition, in Mat 24:15, 23, 24.
Mt 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mt 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mt 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mt 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
Mt 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Mt 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
If anybody does not believe in Jesus Christ for salvation, he is antichrist basically whether he is ignorant (irreligious) or belongs to any cult like Jehovah’s Witness. In other words it is not required for antichrist to deny HIM openly like JW people do. If anybody does not have any religion at all, that is, just plain irreligious and totally ignorant of any deity, then he is nobody but antichrist.
36. How much a born again loves GOD and his neighbor depends on the depth of charity, which in turn is proportional to how faithful he is. Read items A, #17, #19, #31, and #42 under this Theology menu; #1 under Home menu; items #2 and #3 under Daily devotion menu.
Here is the sum in regard to charity, the more faithful one is, the more he loves GOD and his neighbor.
Charity was said to be the most important ingredient in the evangelical church in item number 1 under Home menu. See other articles regarding charity in item numbers 17, 19, and 31 above; and item #2 under Devotion menu.
Every born again believer want to love GOD more and more, and wants to have a closer relationship with HIM; this is common sense. After all, who does not? All born again believers are gods as mentioned in item number 2 above. They are added to Trinity to be part of so called Quartet or Four Part Theology. The more we love HIM, the more HE shall love us, and then the more intimate and closer relationship we can have with HIM.
GOD was said to be love in item number 19 above. There is no distinction or boundary for love (charity). Apostle Paul described charity (love) very nice in terms of theology in 1Cor chapter 13.
Basically there is no distinction among our neighbors including strangers on earth, our own family members, GOD the Father, Son Christ, and Holy Ghost, and even other creations of GOD such as animals, trees, mountains, fowls, fishes, sun, moon, universe and etc as to whom we can or can not love. We love them all! Charity is the greatest thing in heaven and on earth (1Cor 13:13).
How strong one’s charity toward GOD the Father (and Trinity) and others as listed above depends on the depth of his faith toward GOD the Father directly, that is, the more faithful he is, the more charity he shall have toward anybody or anything one can imagine.
Apostle Paul said that charity was the greatest among charity, hope, and faith (1Cor 13:13). Certainly all these three work together in perfect harmony toward one’s charity. In other words, if one has a very strong and profound faith and hope in GOD the Father (and Trinity), he will express and have a very strong charity toward all GOD’S creation! HE will bless him abundantly.
37. Born again believers can pray intercessory prayer on behalf of either other believers or unbelievers.
Praying is very powerful and is a direct communication with GOD the Father, more direct than an ordinary face to face or telephone conversation between two men. In other words it is very intimate and effective communication with HIM 24/7 so to speak.
Not all sins are unto death and serious, that is, there are sins or transgressions lighter than very serious sins deserving death. This is just like men’s judicial system on earth understandably that we have capital punishment (execution), paying fines, going to jail, and etc.
As far as heavenly standard by GOD the Father is concerned, HE must consider either sins unto death or sins not unto death (Rom 6:16; 1Joh 5:16). Born again believers can pray to HIM for other people’s sins not unto death and then HE will listen and forgive them. Jesus died on the cross for both kind of sins but we can pray to GOD on behalf of other believers or unbelievers to forgive their sins not unto death only (1Joh 5:16).
Eze 14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
Jer 15:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
Israelites committed sins unto death; therefore, GOD told both prophets, Ezekiel and Jeremiah, that HE would or could not forgive them even though very faithful men pray intercessory prayer to HIM on their behalf---very interesting.
So if a born again believer, who is very faithful and has a very strong, close relationship with GOD, prays to HIM for sins not unto death, HE will listen to him and will forgive any offender’s sins. What a powerful and amazing privilege it is for a faithful believer!
The power of intercessory prayer is mentioned in James 5:13-20 very nicely.
38. Any born again believer can or will not commit any mortal sin.
Summary: Any born again believer can or will not commit any mortal sin since he is guided or dictated by Holy Ghost even though he can fall into Satan’s temptation and commit an immortal sin or rather called trespassing.
1Joh 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Joh 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Joh 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
1Joh 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
Read my exegeses on 1Joh 3:8, 9 below.
8. is of the devil: Devil induces men to commit sins. So men need to resist the devil’s temptation and the best way to resist it is through believing in Son Jesus Christ, fervent prayer, and more importantly searching the scripture daily.
When a man becomes born again (Joh 3:3), he replaces his devil spirit acquired naturally from his mother’s womb with Holy Ghost, that is, everybody is born as a sinner with a devil spirit simply because men inherited Adam’s sin (Rom 5:12-14). See item #13 on Exegesis menu. Holy Ghost in a newly born again man’s heart will never lead him to sin. See item number 10 above.
sinneth from the beginning: Devil (Satan) is a former angel who rebelled against GOD and tried to be a god simply because he was proud. He was expelled from heaven, and he deceives men on earth into eternal condemnation (Lake of Fire) day and night ever since (Rev 12:7-12).
…the Son of GOD was manifested [as a man]: that is, Jesus came to earth as a man to defeat Satan and overcome sins and death by resurrection from the grave. In other words HE conquered Satan (death) as a man by resurrection.
Without resurrection HIS death on the cross might have been meaningless or incomplete and HE could not have defeated Satan (death).
that he (Christ) might destroy…devil: See Gen 3:15. Christ destroyed or overcame devil (Satan) by submitting HIMSELF to the cross to die for our sins and then most importantly to be resurrected from the grave by HIS Father Jehovah (Gal 1:1).
So Christ’s sacrificial and voluntary death on the cross followed by bodily resurrection on the third day from the grave not only delivered sinful men from eternal condemnation into hell but also defeated Satan and his demonic angels at the same time.
9. …doth not commit sin…he cannot sin….
This is so important and critical verse that one can come up with a new theology. Here apostle John is talking about a mortal sin, that is, serious crime worthy death penalty so to speak in modern time analogy like murder for example. See Deu 21:22, 22:26
So John is saying that all born again believers can or will not commit any mortal sin. A man is born again or saved after receiving Holy Ghost (Joh 3:3). He said that a lost sinner commits any mortal sin simply because he has the devil spirit (v 8, last verse).
Then it is clear that any born again (saved) man can or will not commit mortal sin since he replaced his devil spirit with which he was born with like everybody on earth with Holy Ghost. See item number 10 above. If he commits a mortal sin, then he was not born again or saved to begin with. Devil spirit dictates lost sinner to do bad things while Holy Spirit does born again believers to do nothing but good things.
So it is impossible for a truly born again man with Holy Ghost to commit any mortal sin since he is guided or dictated by HIM, and this is what this and last verse are talking about.
There are sins not unto death, immortal sins which can be called simply trespassing rather. If anybody commits trespassing during OT period, he must offer trespass offering as opposed to regular sin offering (Lev chapter 4) as a means of correcting it (Lev 6:1-7). See item number 37 above.
Born again (saved) people can fall into Satan’s temptation and commit immortal sin(s) (trespass(es)), not to mention some unsaved, lost, and evil-oriented people who are being tempted by Satan all the time and commit both mortal and immortal sins. There are many unsaved people who are decent citizens and live normal life.
Trespassing can be like lying, cheating, stealing, and etc. If anybody commits one of more of them by trespassing against somebody, he can say to him ‘I’m sorry’ in order that he will be forgiven. Then GOD will forgive him also (5:16, 17).
for his (GOD'S) seed remaineth in him: that is, the new moral nature which he has received from GOD, and which is maintained in his heart by the indwelling of the Holy Ghost.
The nature or reality of GOD'S seed is nothing but charity (1Ch 13:13); John said that GOD is love (agape) (1Joh 4:8, 16).
because he is born of GOD: referring to born again after receiving Holy Ghost (Joh 3:3). One is transformed inwardly by Holy Ghost; he becomes a new creature, born again spiritually, and becomes a son or a daughter of GOD the Father.
39. The more a born again believer is filled with Holy Ghost, the more he will experience HIM in his life on earth. Rom 8:28; Pro 16:9
The following article is posted in item number 14 under Holy Sprit menu under a different title. I said that all born again believers received Holy Ghost in their heart in item 10 above. I mentioned about the degree of faithfulness of each believer in item number 7 under Home menu.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Pro 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
These are my favorite verses, which talk about Holy Spirit guiding Holy Spirit filled person like me to the best outcome despite ups and downs through the courses of a particular event. I felt that HE was helping me get through the difficult situation with uncertainty when I looked back how things were unfolding and how it ended up with finally to my satisfaction. HE is my guide and I can feel it in my heart when I pray to GOD for guidance.
I woke up one morning very early suddenly after a very short dream about a German shepherd dog. I felt guilty for neglecting to feed him in the dream and woke up about 4 AM suddenly. This never happened in my life before so that I took this unusual incidence as if Holy Spirit telling me to adopt a German Shepherd, so I did and brought one to my house on the same day gladly.
One morning about 4 months later, I saw that he damaged a plastic container in the backyard. This kind of breed is well known for chewing wood, plastic, or other light material. Then I felt that Holy Spirit telling me to return him to the county animal shelter, so I followed HIS instruction without hesitation just like as I adopted him quickly 4 months ago. Even though I thought about the possibility of returning him to the animal shelter before when things were getting a little bit hard for me, I still kept him in my house feeding him very well with loving care; I loved him very much.
In fact he damaged some other plastic items before and disappointed me but he never chewed water hoses in the backyard, which was my major concern. I thanked GOD for it very much and attributed it to Holy Ghost who made me to adopt him. If he had massed them up, I could have returned him to the animal shelter sooner. I said to myself, of course, I adopted this dog with faith per Holy Spirit’s instruction, what can go wrong?
I hit him with a pole few times when he was playing with me out of frustration and anger but looking back I thought that I should have been more understanding of him as a mere creature who can not communicate with spoken words. I thought that GOD was teaching me a lesson how to handle a difficult relationship with patience and understanding. When I was threatening him by wielding a pole toward him, he retreated quickly but then he kept coming back to me with a friendly gesture right away; he never tried to fight with me no matter how rough I was toward him.
Now here is my testimony in connection with two verses above,
They said that I had to make an appointment on the internet to surrender a pet to them and the next available appointment slot was about 2 weeks later. I was very disappointed by it because I just wanted to drop him off and come back to my house. I talked to two supervisors to take him; I begged them sincerely without avail. So I tried to set it up online after I came back to my house but I could not finish it because their system kept rejecting me. Then I drove back to them and told them about it, and lo and behold, they gave me the appointment on the following day. Bingo! I was very excited praising the LORD. If I was able to set it up OK online at home, then I would surrender him 2 weeks later according to the online scheduling, so this turned out to be my advantage. Holy Spirit was involved here definitely, wasn’t HE?
Then I planned how to spend the last night and the following day with my dog before I would surrender him to them. I took many pictures of him for memorial, fed him more than usual, and spent time with him intimately; I prayed to GOD that HE would find a good home for him later.
Had the county animal shelter received him on my first visit, I could not have done what I did afterwards, could I? Definitely Holy Spirit knew ahead of time that I would better take a time to take pictures of him and have an intimate time together with him before I surrender him to them. When I came home after dropping him off at the shelter, I felt empty and missed him very much. We were having fun while we were living together for the last four months. I was feeding him very well, took care of his waste, played in my backyard, and etc.
However he took my time for other important things to do, and it was clear to me that I had to send him back to the shelter in order that I can do more important things for me. It appears that Holy Spirit taught me a lesson how to improve my character and personality while interacting with a dog for a short period of time. Praise the LORD. Alleluia!
Conclusion,
Holy Ghost is involved with anybody’s life very much, who is filled with HIM in his heart. What Jesus Christ told HIS disciples in regard to “Comforter” speaks out all things as follows,
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
I experienced HIM many times before in different events and situations like this one, and other born again believers should also. If not, they need to assess where they stand spiritually. They need to grow in faith by praying to HIM and reading Bible more in order to maintain a personal relationship with GOD the Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost, Amen.
40. Being irreligious is as bad as worshipping diverse idols.
The main problem for Israelites during Old Testament period was serving and worshipping diverse heathen gods (idols) instead of our GOD the Father Jehovah who created heaven and earth in the beginning. They offended HIM very much and HE punished them very badly as a result. This was very evident throughout OT in the Bible. There is only one true GOD Jehovah in heaven and all other gods are false and man made.
The problem in modern time as far as religious practices or customs are concerned does not seem to be idolatry at all but rather it is total ignorance of any religion that people are very irreligious and ignorant of any second life after death in heaven or hell so to speak unlike how it was during Bible time, that is, many people were worshipping different man-made idols and feared them with great fear. Modern people do not fear any god or super natural being at all and do not care about second life which is eternal after death on earth. They just live temporal life without fear and die later on earth as if there is no second and eternal life in heaven.
As a matter of fact, according to Biblical stand point of view, having no religion is the same as idolatry. Either you believe and serve the only true almighty Jehovah (I AM) or serve idols. Likewise if one does not love Jews, he is the same as one who hates them. There is no third or neutral position. So whether one is an atheist openly or just ignorant of or indifferent in any religion, he is bound to hell equally. Basically both of them are sinners because they did not believe in Jesus Christ and GOD the Father. See the quote of John 3:16 on top of every page in this website.
I was prompted to write this article when I was reading Ezr 1:2, 3 as follows. Read my annotation on verse 2 below.
Ezr 1:2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Ezr 1:3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
2. The LORD GOD of heaven…earth: This very humble attitude of Cyrus toward GOD is quite in contrast to very proud king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who gave credit to himself for his mighty Babylonian kingdom and then GOD rebuked and struck him badly (Dan 4:30-33).
Certainly Cyrus sounds like giving GOD of Israel glory and praising HIM specifically (v 3) rather than his own god or any unknown heathen god. So he declares liberation of Jews to their homeland and rebuilding the temple of GOD of Israelites.
Nowadays any president, king, prime minister, leader, nation, and etc praising or thanking GOD of Israel for whatever reason is unheard of, and that most modern people became irreligious.
The issue is not whether we serve and worship idols or not as in the Bible time but rather it is how irreligious we are, which is as bad as serving idols.
41. 7,000-year earth history Also read item #6 under home menu
This is the sum of this websitcse and today is exactly one year and 5 months after I started building it on June 21, 2022. I felt Holy Ghost telling me to write this grand article when I woke up this morning. This is not my final article though, that is, I might add more as time goes since Bible is very, very deep without end.
The whole earth history shall be 7,000 years precisely (item number 21 above) and we are into about 6,000 years since creation, 4,000 year B.C. plus 2,000 year A.D.. Think about 7 days a week and 12 months a year in our calendar, and how four seasons are being repeated year after year perfectly based on the position of the sun relative to the earth. Christ shall return at the end of so called 70th week of Daniel (Dan 9:27), the last 7-year period of earth history, and start 1,000-year Christ kingdom on earth (Rev 20:4). The second half of it, 3 and half years, will be so called great tribulation period (Mat 24:29-31).
In the mean time here is what happens, if one dies after being saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, his soul will be sleeping in the grave until rapture and then going into heaven forever (item #4 above); otherwise, he will be sent to hell to be tormented there more than 1,000 years through the Christ kingdom (Luk 16:23, items #9, 23 above). Afterwards he will stand before the white throne of judgment to be sent to the lake of fire ETERNALLY, which is the final destiny for all unsaved people, Satan and others (Rev 20:10-15). See also Rev 12:7-12 in regard to how Satan and evil spirits began on earth. See items #20 and 29 above.
One good news for unbelievers is that they might go to heaven so to speak if they lived good, noble, or whatever good life and hence their names are found in the book of life before the white throne of judgment. See item #11, #23 and then 5th to 7th paragraphs, and under the Exegesis menu #25 and then 10th paragraph.
Now having said all these, it is not clear what those new earth and new heaven (Rev 21:1-4) are for. See Rev 22:1-6. In other words, are we born again believers will be living in the new earth eternally after death when we assume, think, or understand that we will be with the LORD in the “paradise” (Luk 23:43; 2Cor 12:4; Rev 2:7) in heaven eternally?
There is no clear cut reference or answer for this question in the Bible. Apostle Paul said that we shall ever be with the LORD after the rapture (1Th 4:13- 18). Then again, who is going to live in the new earth if any? Is current earth going to be disappeared or destroyed after the 1,000 years of Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) followed by the big battle (Rev 20:7-10) and the white throne of judgment (Rev 20:11-15)? Or is it going to be continued in the new earth?
Oh heavenly Father I thank THEE for sending us THY only begotten Son Christ to rescue us from hell and lake of fire after we die. This sinful world is not our permanent home so that I am looking forward to be with THEE wherever it might be either in heaven or in the new earth (Rev 21:1, 2). Amen
In the beginning GOD created heaven and earth, and everything in them for HIS glory fundamentally. HE loves HIS creation very much obviously. When HE sees it such as men, beast, fishes, trees, mountains, and etc suffer from hunger, disease, disaster, and etc, HE should feel sad certainly. HE is offended by men doing all kinds of abominable things on earth, not to mention all forms of idolatry. Ideally they become fruitful, live godly life, and glorify HIM day and night but this was and is not happening unfortunately.
We are very close to the 6,000 year mark since creation, then immediately Christ will come back to earth riding in the cloud from heaven and start 1,000 year Christ kingdom on earth without delay. There is one important pre-condition to be met before HIS second coming as stated in Mat 24:14, And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
When gospel is preached to the utmost parts of the earth, will the 6,000-year mark be accomplished? Yes, you can bet on it; they will happen beyond shadow of doubt (item #21 above). Before Christ was leaving HIS disciples and ascended to heaven about 2,000 years ago, HE commanded them as in Mat 28:19, 20; Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (verse 19): Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (verse 20)
42. Nobody can love GOD the Father without loving Jews; all born again believers must or are supposed to love Jews.
See item numbers all related to love (charity) such as items A, 17, 19, 30, 31 and 36 above; item number 1 under home menu; item numbers 2 and 3 under Daily Devotion menu. The following verses sum up what all these theologies, principles, or ideas talk about, that is, we love our neighbor both Jews and Gentiles as ourselves!
Mt 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mt 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mt 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets
Ga 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Jas 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
The degree of GOD’S love toward Jews (Hebrews, Israelites) who are very peculiar and unique people on earth is so much tremendous that nobody can love HIM without loving them also. See item numbers 17, 19, and 36 above. Jesus said that men can not love HIM without loving HIS Father Jehovah (GOD the Father) as well (Joh 8:42, 14:21) or vice versa since THEY are ONE (Joh 10:30). Nobody can separate Trinity (1Joh 5:7,8) and deal with THEM separately for any reason or purpose because THEY are ONE as well.
This oneness idea is applicable to GOD the Father and Jews (Israelites). HE is called Holy One of Israel (Psa 71:22) and GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Exo 3:6). They are the apple of HIS eye (Deu 32:10). Anybody or nation that “toucheth” Jews toucheth the apple of his (GOD’S) eye (Zec 2:8)---quite a statement.
The book of Isaiah (chapters 40-66) is filled with the idea as to how much HE loves and cares for them beyond anybody’s imagination as the excerpt below shows:
Isa 40:1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Isa 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Isa 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Isa 43:3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Isa 43:4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
Either one loves Jews or hates them; there is no third or neutral position so that if one does not love them, he falls under the hatred group of them. Likewise one either loves Trinity (Christ the Son, GOD the Father and Holy Ghost) or hates THEM (Mat 12:30).
If anybody or nation helps Jews, he shall be blessed by GOD the Father or vice versa. See item number 34 above.
Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Israelites were said to be precious to GOD the Father as quoted above in Isa 43:4. We evangelicals are supposed to love Jews just like any Gentle neighbor on earth, that is, we must love our neighbor both Jews and Gentile alike. We can not love HIM without loving our neighbor first. The distinction between Jews and Gentiles is diminished significantly under NT (See item number 30 above); nevertheless, GOD’S peculiar love toward Jews is not and never shall be changed or diminished because of the Abrahamic covenant between GOD the Father and patriarch Abraham (Gen 15:18-21). Our GOD the Father Jehovah in heaven was under OT, is under NT, and shall be GOD of Jews indefinitely. Amen Read the last paragraph in the item number 30 above. Read item #27 under Exegesis menu.
43. Covenant between men and GOD Isa 54:6-8
Isa 54:6 ¶ For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
Isa 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
Isa 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
These verses refer to GOD forsaking Israelites temporarily for their idolatry by sending them from their country to exile to Assyria and Babylon. Israel is represented as a young wife of the LORD under OT allegorically and is the counterpart of the church under NT spiritually.
The relationship between church (Jews and Gentiles) and Christ under NT is the shadow, antitype, or continuation of the covenant relationship between Israelites, Jerusalem, or Zion and GOD the Father under OT generally speaking; therefore, church is equal to Israel, Jerusalem, or Zion so to speak.
It was the Abrahamic covenant between Abraham (and his descendants, Jews exclusively) and GOD the Father (and Holy Ghost) under OT (Gen 17:10), and this is continued between church (both Jews and Gentiles) and Trinity (Son Christ, GOD the Father, and Holy Ghost) under NT.
Notice above that Christ was not mentioned in the OT even though HE was present in concept only (Joh 1:1-3) but after HE came to earth and died on the cross to fulfill NT, HE was included in the covenant relationship between men and GOD under NT.
So we can simply classify the covenant between men and GOD the Father into two, old and new, as far as the salvation is concerned. The former (Old Testament or covenant) is based on works or fulfilling Mosaic laws and the latter (New Testament or covenant) is on GOD’S grace, or faith in Christ alone without works (Eph 2:8, 9).
In the NT, Christ is considered as bridegroom whereas church is as bride (Rev 19:7-9); therefore, one can see readily the parallel relationship between these two testaments or covenants.
44. Spiritual and physical food
Every born again (saved) man needs not only physical food to maintain his physical body healthy but also he needs spiritual food to nourish his Spirit (Holy Ghost) in order that he grows spiritually, that is, to increase his faith in GOD. Refer to item #10 above.
When a man just becomes born again (saved) after receiving Christ as his personal saviour, he replaces his evil spirit which he was born with like anybody else with Holy Ghost. Then he is a baby spiritually even though he is grown up physically, he needs to grow spiritually by attending church, reading Bible and praying daily, and etc; otherwise, he will be malnourished spiritually. See item #13 under Exegesis menu on Rom 5:12-21.
There are many born again people who are stagnant spiritually living just like unbelieving people without any ‘religious activity’ hardly ever. Nevertheless nobody loses his salvation regardless (Heb 6:1-6) so that spiritually weak born again people shall go to heaven after death eventually. See item #5 above.
They just need to change their attitude and to fire up themselves to grow up their faith in GOD (Heb 11:1) by eating spiritual food daily so to speak. As a man needs physical food to maintain his physical body healthy until death in general, a born again (saved) man needs spiritual food to increase his faith in GOD until death likewise. Amen
45. Earthly or heavenly kingdom
There are only two kingdoms either earthly kingdom where men live on earth since creation of Genesis 1:1 or heavenly kingdom which is invisible third heaven where GOD the Father, Son Christ, Holy Ghost, and other heavenly hosts are present.
There can not be any third kingdom, that is, there is no third life anywhere beside heaven and earth. Apostle Paul was said to be caught up into paradise (2Cor 12:4) which is invisible third heaven (2Cor 12:2). Read 2Cor 12:1-4. Then the first heaven must be visible heaven to men’s eyes from earth and the second heaven must be invisible universe from earth beyond the first heaven.
Now the question is where would born again believers stay eternally after the first, common death on earth. For unbelieving, lost sinners, it is very simple that their souls will go to hell (Luk 16:23) right after the first death and stay there past 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) and then they will stand before the white throne of judgment seat of Christ to be rewarded “according to their works” and also to determine their final and eternal destiny.
If their names are found in the book of life luckily, they will be sent to what one might call heaven or paradise; otherwise, they will be sent to the lake of fire which is called second death (Rev 20:14, 15). Read Rev 20:11-15. Hell and lake of fire are the two different places for sinners (item #23 above).
For believing, born again believers, it is more complex than unbelieving sinners. First of all their souls shall be sleeping in the grave (item #9 above) after the first, common death on earth until rapture (item #4 above) at which time they will meet Christ in the air and come back to earth to live and to reign in the 1,000-year Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4).
Satan was said to be bound in the bottomless pit during this Christ kingdom so that it is basically paradise on earth where Satan and other evil, angelic spirits can not tempt and torment men. In other words, there will not be any evil force or influence in the Christ kingdom which is everlasting kingdom but just peace and happiness. Alleluia, Praise the LORD. Christ kingdom is GOD’S gift for born again people to enjoy on earth for 1,000 long years! It is not clear what will be life expectancy.
Now there are many questions regarding this Christ kingdom (Rev 20:4) and also regarding new heaven and earth, and new Jerusalem mentioned in Rev 21:1, 2. After this 1,000-year Christ kingdom, Satan shall be loosed from the bottomless pit (Rev 20:1) and that great battle described in the book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 will follow (Rev 20:7-9). Then Satan, false christ and prophet, all three of them who tempted and tormented men on earth since creation of Gen 1:1 shall be sent to lake of fire forever finally (Rev 19:20, 20:10). Alleluia, Praise the LORD! Then will the paradise beyond the 1,000-year Christ kingdom continue in the new earth or in the third heaven? Will the current, old earth be gone? There is a brief description of what one might imagine the environment of paradise in Rev 22:1-5 and it is not clear whether it is on the new earth (and new heaven) or in the third heaven.
Bible does not address them, so it is anybody’s imagination. It does not give us picture how they will look or sound like understandably; it is secret to GOD and we are not allowed to know about them but it will be revealed to us eventually when we will be living eternally in paradise on the new earth and new heaven or in the third heaven.
The word ‘paradise’ are found in three verses in the NT (Luk 23:43; 2Cor 12:4; Rev 2:7). The phrase ‘kingdom of heaven’ is found 33 times only in the gospel Matthew; the phrase ‘kingdom of God’ is found 70 times throughout NT. They all mean the same as to what we imagine ‘heaven’ where all born again believers will stay eternally as opposed to hell or lake of fire. Alleluia, Praise the LORD. Come Jesus, come, we will meet THEE in the air at THY second coming. Amen
46. GOD the Father in heaven is very much displeased and offended when HIS creation both animate and inanimate suffers for whatever cause or reason on earth.
Israelites offended GOD the Father and provoked HIM to anger very much basically for two reasons in addition to disobeying HIS commandments (Old Testaments). The first one was idolatry and the second most important one was mistreating fellow Jews (neighbors) such as oppressing, cheating, lying, and etc.
HE wanted all HIS creation on earth whether animate (men, beast, fish, fowl, and etc) or inanimate (trees, mountain, and etc) to live and to multiply happily so to speak for HIS glory. We encounter all kinds of calamities while living on earth occasionally for HIS glory. See item #8 above. Nevertheless HE does not want HIS creation to suffer for many different reasons habitually and for a long time.
Then HIS creation under the suffering condition can not glorify (praise) HIM obviously when in fact HE created heaven and earth for HIS glory primarily (Isa 43:7; Rev 4:11, 5:13), that is, HE intended HIS creation to multiply abundantly so that it can glorify HIM more and more (Gen 9:1, 7).
Now one can understand easily how and why HE was offended very much when Israelites were mistreating their fellow Jews during OT.
De 24:14 Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:
Job 36:15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
Pr 14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
The same principle applies to modern time under NT. HE is easily offended when we neglect our suffering neighbor, not to mention oppression; not helping the poor, the sick physically and mentally; committing all kinds of crime and injustice, and etc. See middle of item #33 above.
Ideally we all come to the church to worship HIM, have fellowship, and look after one another in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In other words we born again believers just do everything for HIS glory while living holy life on earth obeying HIS commandments until we die and meet HIM face to face in heaven some day. Alleluia, Praise the LORD. Amen
47. Fearing GOD the Father in heaven is the beginning of heavenly or spiritual wisdom. This is repeat of item B above. See item #11 under Holy Spirit menu.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (Psa 111:10; pro 1:7, 9:10) and almost all unbelievers do not fear HIM, much less do they consider or think about HIM hardly ever in their life. Modern people are very irreligious and do not care or think about second life which is eternal either in heaven or in hell so to speak after the first, common death on earth. See articles #40 and #24 above.
Everybody must fear HIM and understand that HE knows what is happening on earth, which is HIS creation, very intimately. See last article #46. The more a born again believer is filled with Holy Ghost, the closer relationship he can have with HIM, the more he will fear HIM, and the wiser he can be. See article #39 above.
King Solomon concluded his preaching in the book of Ecclesiastes as follows,
Ec 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ec 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Irreligious people with devil spirit, who never think about HIM, will or can not fear HIM. They only consider what they can see, feel, or hear on earth; they never consider second life in heaven or hell.
We born again believers must be aware that HE is watching us as well as unbelievers and all HIS creation on earth all the time. Then we believers are motivated to live holy life on earth and to be diligent to glorify HIM, to spread good news (gospel) as much and often as we can while living on earth. Check out various articles under Evangelism menu.
48. Psa 86:9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. See Psa 22:27-31, 66:4, 67:7; Eph 1:12; Rev 15:4
It is men’s duty to fear (article #47 just above) and worship GOD the Father who created heaven and earth, not to mention to obey HIS commandments and there is no excuse for men to ignore HIM totally as if HE is nor real (Rom 1:20, 21). Many people are aware of HIM one way or another but are just ignorant, that is, they do not fear, worship, thank, and/or glorify HIM at all. Their concern is just about carnal things as to what they see and hear literally or they are just busy with earthly things but never consider invisible things which are spiritual while living daily life on earth.
1Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Cor 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
They do not care about any second life after death (articles #23 above and #47 just above) so that they are irreligious basically.
Some people are religious but they either serve idols or belong to cults who believe in GOD incorrectly, that is, they are off the mark. Being irreligious is as bad as worshiping idols or serving HIM incorrectly (article #40 above).
It is not an option for men to fear, worship, and glorify HIM throughout generations but it is their duty. If we do not worship our creator regularly, we are offending HIM very much. Then we die as sinners and the penalty for failing to be saved before death by the blood of Jesus Christ is eternal damnation (lake of fire, Rev 20:14, 15).
Oh heavenly Father, we thank thee for sending us thy only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins and enlightening some of us to believe in thee and Christ through Holy Ghost. We shall obey thy commandment to spread the gospel unto the end of the world (Mat 28:18-20). We pray in the name of our Lord and Savoiur Jesus Christ. Amen
49. GOD manipulated through Holy Ghost a certain individual’s or a group of people’s mind or heart to steer them to behave according to HIS will during OT period and so does HE nowadays under NT. Jos 9:2, 11:19, 20
GOD the Father is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Everything one can imagine is possible for HIM; nothing is impossible.
HE manipulated through Holy Ghost king Saul’s heart or mind by giving evil spirit (1Sam 16:13-15, 23, 18:10, and etc), made Pharaoh king of Egypt keep refusing Israelites to leave Egypt in order that HE can send more plagues to Egypt for HIS glory (Exo 4:21, 7:3), or made king Rehoboam of Israel to take a bad advice from young advisors instead of a good advice from old men to break up the united Israel into two, northern and southern kingdom (1Ki 12:12-15). There are more examples in the OT but let us suffice with these three good examples.
Does HE control men’s heart nowadays too? The answer is yes certainly but it is not clear or apparent whose heart HE does. There is no reason for us to believe differently. Can we pray to HIM that HE does certain individual according to our will nowadays? Yes, we can and HE will hear us and change someone’s heart definitely.
HE made Canaanites to battle with Israelites very hard instead of making peace with them after the latter went over Jordan river and entered into Canaan as described in the book of Joshua (Jos 9:2, 11:19, 20). HE did not want Israelites who were HIS chosen people and inheritance (Deu 4:20) to mingle with heathen countries and to adopt their bad customs and idols.
Read one verse and annotation on it below.
Jos 11:20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.
20. For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts: Here, we have GOD’S providence playing an important role for Israelites to possess Canaan. See annotation for 9:2
HE also hardened Pharaoh's heart to glorify HIMSELF before Egyptians as well as Israelites (Exo 4:21, 14:4).
GOD did not want any Canaanite tribe to cohabit with Israelites by surrendering themselves but rather HE wanted them to fight with Israelites in order that they wipe out all Canaanite tribes completely.
This was to prevent Israelites from being influenced by heathen gods, custom, and culture (Deu 7:2-6, 12:1-4, 20:16-18).
So it was necessary for HIM to harden their hearts to battle against Israelites and GOD gave Israelites all the victories they needed. Jos 11:6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
50. Once we born again believers pray to GOD or ask a petition of HIM, we must believe that HE will answer us absolutely as long as we are righteous before HIS eyes. Pro 3:5, 6, 16:9; 1Sam 1:17, 27; Mar 11:24
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
GOD does not answer a hypocrite (sinner) obviously (Joh 9:31; 1Joh 5:14; Psa 66:18; Isa 1:15; Eze 8:18; Mic 3:4; Zec 7:13).
Another conditions is that our prayer request should be according to HIS will and for HIS glory (1Joh 5:14; Jam 4:3) and we must fear HIM and obey HIS commandments (1Joh 3:22; Joh 9:31; Deu 4:40, 5:10, 29, 6:2, 7:9, 8:6, and etc).
Also we should not try to solve the problem or to achieve the prayer request by our own wisdom and effort, that is, we just let HIM do the job for us once we prayed to HIM for help. What good is it or why do we even try by ourselves when GOD expects us to rely on HIS Providence 100%?
Yes we try our effort also in some case while we pray to HIM at the same time about it but my case was that I do nothing period.
The following anecdote is about German Shepherd dog called Chicago from article #13 under Holy Spirit menu.
I adopted one German Shepherd dog from LA county animal shelter in June 2023 but surrendered him to them in May 2024. I prayed to GOD that HE find a new owner of good Christian home in the mean time.
I visited him at the animal shelter weekly and requested them they release my contact information to the new owner so that I can visit and see him later.
I even tried to bring him back to my house but it did not work. Then I realized that I was wrong; I was supposed to trust HIM totally that HE will find a good home for him once I prayed to HIM about it.
So I will not visit him at the animal shelter any more but just wait and see with confidence as I quoted above in Mar 11:24 that some born again believer will adopt him as I prayed to HIM for him. Amen
51. Pride is the root of all evil. Hab 2:4, 5
Pride is the most atrocious and detrimental character of men and Satan and is the root of all evil come from Satan and devil spirit. Therefore GOD hates it very much and it is the number one thing which separates men from HIM, that is, a proud man can not be saved. Pride was said to be the number one reason why a proud man can not be saved on article number 7 above. Read two verses below and annotation on verse 4.
Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Hab 2:5 ¶ Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
4. Behold, his soul: referring to Nebuchadnezzar specifically.
his soul which is lifted up (puffed up, pride) is not upright in him: that is, there is no righteousness or justice in a proud man. This is a very deep theological statement.
Pride is the number one reason that separates a man or (a nation collectively) from GOD and is the most important factor for causing him to fall into sin.
A proud man can not stand and be justified before GOD. Alternatively he needs to be humble in order to be accepted by HIM.
the just shall live...faith: that is, a just or righteous man (born again through faith in Christ) is humble and is supposed to look up to GOD, trust, and wait for HIM only by faith (Rom 1:17; Gal 3:11; Heb 10:38).
This verse tells that a just or righteous man is humble and an unjust or unrighteous man is the opposite, that is, he is proud. Pride is the root of all evil come from Satan who is evil spirit (Job 35:12; Pro 8:13; Mar 7:12; 1Ti 3:6).
52. GOD answers our prayer request based on HIS timetable. Gen 40:14, 41:1
GOD is infinite and timeless, that is, HE has no beginning or ending of time (article #6 above), yet when HE deals with finite men on earth, HE is very punctual and precise (article #21 above). When we pray to HIM, we tend to be impatient and want to see HIS response to our prayer request soon according to our own timetable or wishful thinking but our heavenly Father who is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent has HIS own timetable and will respond to our prayer request according to HIS Providence.
Also we should have unwavering faith that HE will answer it as long as it is legitimate and glorifies HIM (article #50 above).
Here two verses below, Joseph certainly wanted to get out of prison soon within some days or a few weeks but it took two full years before his chance of leaving it came about. Read annotations on these two verses below.
Gen 40:14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
Gen 41:1 And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.
14. make mention of me unto Pharaoh: The chief butler forgot about Joseph after he was restored. Joseph must have felt very disappointed when he was not released from prison within some days or weeks as he had hoped with much anticipation.
Here is a good example on the timing of our prayer request which is legitimate, appropriate, and glorifying GOD answered by HIM. We tend to wish that HE answers it soon but HE has HIS own timetable.
When we pray to HIM with good faith, we should learn to be patient and to have unwavering confidence that HE will answer according to HIS timetable instead of our wishful thinking as to how fast HE responds.
His luck comes after two full years later when Pharaoh had two disturbing dreams (41:1). He will interpret them and impress him very much. After all GOD gave Joseph a talent to interpret dreams accurately.
1. at the end of two full years: that is, on the third year. Here again common and sacred number 3. If one counts beginning as first year, then it will be 3rd year after two full years were elapsed.
Now Joseph’s prayer request to be released from the prison shall get materialized finally. Alleluia!
What was in Joseph's mind when he hoped that he would get out of the prison (40:14) soon but it did not get materialized? He must have been disappointed by it very much.
He must have kept praying to GOD for his release faithfully without losing his hope and the turning point comes on the third year.
Patience is the key for every faithful Christian to not lose his faith and to keep waiting for his prayer request to be answered by GOD. Everything is in HIS hand and works according to HIS time line; Christians do not know as to when HE will answer their prayer requests.
53. Women are considered inferior to men in the Bible. Num 3:15
See Gen 3:16; 1Cor 11:1-16, 14:34, 35; Eph 5:21-33; Col3:18, 19; 1Ti 2:9-15; 1Pe 3:1-7
It is very clear throughout the scripture that men are considered above or more value than women in general. Wives must submit themselves to their husbands and be quiet at the church.
A man is valued higher than a woman in terms of redemption money required when either of them withdraws a vow (dedication) made to GOD (Lev 27:1-4).
All cross reference verses listed above show clearly that men are above women in position and authority. Nevertheless husbands are supposed to love their wives as themselves basically. Husbands and wives are dependent each other equally very much and GOD created them as such.
1Co 11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1Co 11:12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
Read one verse below and annotation on it.
Num 3:15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.
15. every male: GOD was concerned with male only for census whether it was for entire Israelites (1:3) or for Levites as in this verse.
Clearly male characters were dominant throughout the Bible but there are a few notable female characters such as Sarah, Hannah, Ester, Ruth, Naomi, Mary, Elizabeth, and etc.
Women were created from a man’s rib (Gen 2:21, 22) and they were said to be helpers for men (Gen 2:21-25).
So women are inferior to men in general Biblically speaking and Paul told Corinthian church that women are supposed to be quiet in the church (1Co 14:34).
54. When our GOD the Father does what HE intended to do, HE carries out the task or job completely 100%. 1Ki 14:10.
Not only our GOD the Father is very punctual performing the job or task on time precisely (see item #21 above) but also HE is very thorough perfectly 100% in carrying it out. HE is so perfect and complete that there is no room for partial fulfillment of whatever task HE intended to do.
1Ki 14:10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.
Here one can see that when HE punished one wicked king of Israel, Jeroboam, HE executed every male in his house (1Ki 15:29). Likewise HE executed another wicked king’s house of Israel, Ahab, completely that all his descendants, “and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.”
GOD commanded Moses that when Israelites go to war, they wipe out everybody completely including women, little ones, cattle, and all that is in the city. The idea was that HE did not want Israelites to learn about heathen customs and idols after conquering the enemy countries.
GOD commanded king Saul of Israel to wipe out its enemy Amalekites 100% literally but he failed to do so by saving their king and some cattle and herd. Afterwards he was rejected by HIM.
1Sa 15:8 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
1Sa 15:9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.
Our GOD in heaven is very clear, simple, fair, and complete when it comes down to what and how HE does, and this is expected from perfect, Almighty GOD. Who can prevent HIM?
